There are no Russians. You're either European or Asian (or a mix of both). :D
Maybe some of Khan's decendant are Russians. Tszyu is probably on a similar lineage as Kid Diamond.

This fight has been in a talk for quite awhile now and I have been following it since then. Even before Juarez fought Ramirez, him and his manager was already looking on fighting Chi (they even dated the fight as possibly in July). Then it was reported the fight would take place last month. Then ME mentioned July 15. It was supposed to be on FNF, but now it's locked for August 20 on HBO.
Juarez would probably try to outbox Chi. But Chi would go forward to try and push the fight. We could be in for more of a boxing match or an all out war (depedning on Juarez, I think). I pick Chi by either SD or a very late TKO. Juarez is still young, and this would be a big test.

Fan or no fan, Roy Jones was not the big risk taker top fighter in this era. Sure, Jones could've won those fights. But that's not the point. The point is those fights were never made, period. BTW, I'm neither a fanboy or a hater. And that's probably one of the reason I don't come here as often as before.

Viva The Ukraine!??
Is the guy who wrote that article from Ukraine or something? Because he seems fond of the brothers.
Vitali has delayed the fight 4 times. What a ridiculous Asshole that writer is. He must crave Vitali's dick.
Read the full article. He seems to like both V and W.
I agree with riz. It would be easier for Vitali (especially if he wants to keep the green belt) if he just waits and see what happens in Rahman-Barret. If the winner of that mentioned fight would be unable to fight within a month, then go ahead with Brock. Remember that Vitali already used his optional defense against that of a mismatch with Danny.

I admit that Ruiz has some point regarding the steroids issue (like why didn't Toney appeal, among other things). But the fact that he miss this part on Toney's PR, I question Ruiz' words:
However, enough is enough. Most real fighters do their talking with their fists and not their mouths...remember I said real fighters. Ruiz has done nothing but cry since being handed his WBA belt back. If he was a real man, a real fighter, he would have tried to get me back into the ring to show everyone that James Toney could not have kicked his ass if my test didn't show up positive.
Link
As I said, Ruiz has some point, but Toney take this one with his. And plz don't even tell me about "because the rematch won't be for the championship" and "less money on a non-title fight" BS. Because Ruiz could still label himself a "champion" and would probably make more money on the rematch than fighting bums who has no name.

He's pissed because "someone" told him Manny was talking junk. Shouldn't he first listen to it himself before exploding? From what I can remember from that interview after the fight, Larry ask Manny whether Wlad is ready for a tittle fight, and he said yes because remember that Byrd was supposed to be Wlad's opponent that night. And Manny continue to say that the result would've been the same .
And as for the wife? If I remember correctly, James Toney said something about Byrd is his wife's bitch. :D

Glen Johnson is a natural middleweight. And I believe he even fought in the super middleweight a few fights before Hopkins. Joppy, Allen, among many others.
Why do people say Hopkins ONLY fights welterweights?
Most of those guys are probably haters.
- D
Don't worry guys, this isn't a heavyweight bout where people get so bored they fight each other.
And I don't think either side would be ready to deploy troops to kill each other for such a stupid cost (now now, I love boxing too, but be real). And no, I don't believe Mexicans and Filipinos would kill each other over such a stupid cost also. The only death I see is if the fight go the distance, someone would get a heart attack from excitement.

Yeah, that cover is for real. And I agree, Hatton hasn't done anything huge to be the cover boy. But I guess if he's really huge in that territory and could sell copies, then business is business.
But look at the difference:

When I said that wasn't an excuse, I meant I wasn't trying to make an excuse. Not Tyson making an excuse.
True that it wasn't the same Tyson as before, but it was enough. So maybe after Tyson dropped Buster and came back, maybe Tyson just wasn't prefered for it.
please tell me that aint Rafeal Marquez
did he jump over to showtime?
Yeah, that's the younger Marquez fighting on SHO. But I don't know the exact details. Maybe it's a one fight deal? You really don't know what Ignacio Beristain's gonna do next.
Hopkins definitely owned Trinidad. It was the only time a saw Tito so damn frustrated. Even his dad don't know what sort of advice to give him. Though I don't know if Hopkins could give Tito another lesson, cause age could be a mjor factor "if" they were to meet for a second time this year. And I don't know if Taylor is up for that job, yet.

Castillejo probably past the requirements to choose an opponent. And Mayorga is within the top ten by the WBC (his fight against Tito was at the middleweight). I mean Barrera had a crack of the WBC belt against Morales, didn't he? Or could also be all business.
But from what I heard, that lost to Tito kinda wake him up a little. I heard he fired some members of his camp because they don't push him enough and let him do what ever he wants. And now trains harder than before. I'm not sure if it's true though.
It's hard to imagine a well trained, non-smoking and non-drinking Mayorga.
It airs here in the US on Mondays (which is a bad idea going head-to-head with 24). And I don't know if it's just me, but the Ortiz-Liddell bout kinda reminds me of the Hopkins-DLH bout. Big hype 2004. Nothing happens in the first round, then Tito got knocked on the early second round.

John Ruiz doesn't deserve respect from real boxing fans. He hug more than he punches. That's not boxing, that some sort of hybrid crap. He has done more negative image to the heavyweight than good. Him wearing that belt around him doesn't make him anything. I can't wait what this guy say when (if) Tua becomes a contender. But hopefully his rain of terror would end sooner than later.

Yeah, watching it a week after alone or even with some friends, it's just not as exciting when watching it live with this very loud crowd among you. And some drunk and ready to brawl themselves. :D That's a good memory you can't buy. And I could still rewatch the fight the day after and study it by myself, and still be ahead of of you.
I'm a big boxing fan, but I'm not fortunate enough to afford $45 without sacraficing something, so I feel you there Slipx. That's why I ask a couple of friends to spare five bucks each. And I'm even willing to give ten bucks myself for this type of fight. I could sacrafice one value meal at some burger shack to see this fight. And from what I understand you could too, but choose not too. What's five bucks to spend great times with friends watching the sports you love? And if I'm not mistaking from your age (20?), you'd probably be spending time with your friends anyway. So why not do it in style? And from someone who live, breathe, and sleep boxing, those reason mentioned above should be worth it not having to stay away from boxing site and what's going on in the sports up-to-date. But I guess you're saving your money when you turn pro and manage and promote yourself?
Oh, and please, don't compare this type of fights to King's Struggle for Supremacy PPV. :D
BTW Kimmy, don't tell me you were one of the people who paid $50 for King's PPV mentioned just above this line because two of the fights is for a title?
