In the Post fight press conference to Rocky vs Barrera fight Juarez said that hes had tougher fights and that he definitely felt Soto was a tougher fighter for him.
So for you guys that saw the fight whats your take on it would u agree or is he just venting?
I thought he won that fight against marco but then again i'm not a judge. Besides, he did not prepare well for soto as a replacement.
think he had what it physicaly took
but not what it mentally took
he just started way to late
practicaly gave away most rounds 1-8
he was letting barrera steal them
but come round 9
he started walkin himn down and landin heavy shots
Barrera should fight 2 big mega fights and retire. He is getting to the end of his career and it would be a shame if he looses again like he did to Pacman.
Yeah,Barrera is starting to slow down.I haven't been too impressed with his last two fights. He needs to call it quits soon.

Rocky continues to improve with every fight. And he is still young. He may be a major player in boxing in a few years.Something I never would have thought a few years ago, when he was struggling against guys like Joe Morales.
If you listen to "The Pride of Northside Rocky Juarez" in his post interview, he will tell you that Barrera is not the champ that he thought he would be (meaning fighter), he goes on to say that he has fought tougher fighters, meaning, he has had his taste of defeat and he does not think that this is one of them. I am on his side for sure, he is well on his way to becoming the fighter that he should have been a couple of years ago. However, it took him a couple more fights than expected to become the fighter that showed up and whooped-up on Barrera. He has my respect, how about yours.
Juarez respects Barrera more than what he respected soto,
he didnt look too ready for soto, but barrera even though it was somewaht short notice, he gave Barrera more respect
its true
barreras just older
so what
we all know what would happen with a younger barrera
we cant expect rocky to lie and say hes the toughest fighter he ever faced just cuz hes barrera
maybe itll put it into perspective for barrera
time to hangem up

Well Soto was Younger, same age as Rocky I think, taller and with a longer reach than Barrera, which can mean a lot to a short guy like rocky,so yeah I guess you could make a case for it.
But i think it had more to do with preparation,Rocky was training to fight Injin ,a completely diffrent stylistic matchup,Soto was a later substitutte, and a guy that had been fighting at 130 for several fights at a time when Juarez had not fought past 126,for Barrera he was able to train for a definite opponent,he knew how big the opportunity was,and he had time to adjust to 130 having fought his 2 previous fights at that weight.
