yep like topic what do u guys think?
i think he had problem outside the ring and because of that he was bad trained and could not focus. just look at the fight, tyson wasent the same. he didnt throw anything until round 8 when he throw a uppercut to douglas head.
when i watch the fight it look like Mike tyson wasent there, he think or distract by something, and he didnt got his trainer kevin rooney.
Tyson wasn't the same in the fight with douglas. King was pulling him one way and robin givens was pulling him another way. After Cus died it wasn't fun anymore. It was all about the cash.
I think douglas was a 40-1 underdog in that fight. it was one of the biggest upsets in sports history, if not the biggest
Everbody thought i was a fool for picking Buster Douglas to win that fight, i kept telling everybody, Douglas could box, he was fast and hit hard, and he had that killer instinct, i knew if Douglas would hurt Tyson he would finish him and he did, he gave Tyson a boxing lesson, thats why Tyson was so confused, he never had nobody take it to him like Douglas did,
and then Douglas got a big head, thats why his head was a big target for Holyfield,
holyfield always looks like he's in great shape physically. Also, that wasn't " prime " holyfield. I would say the Holyfield that was fighting Riddick Bowe in three fights beats any Tyson at any age.
i dont think holyfield when he fight bowe the first fight could beat tyson´s prime, he was to small and weak.
the second fight vs bowe he went up 12pounds that holyfield would give a prime tyson a very tough fight, but he still wasent strong enough to beat prime tyson.
the third fight vs bowe holyfield got bad heart condition, tyson would ko that holyfield in 5round easily. big heart and granite chin dont ko tyson, and i dont think any chin can take 1 god punch from tyson and not be hurt.

Holyfield didn't fear Tyson and he had the chin for Tyson's punches. Man ate Bowe's punches and he ain't featherfisted. Prime Holyfiled knocks out prime Mikey.

yep, but like i said before tyson wasent tyson anymore, the way he fight that night he would be ko by any medium boxer sooner or later anyway
Here i'll clear it up.
Prime Holy destroys Toney and Byrd.
Prime Holy KO's 86-88 Tyson.
believe whatever u want, and i whatever i want. i didnt say tyson´s prime when he still got rooney and cust´ amato would ko holyfield´s prime easy but he would ko holyfield sooner or later.
quote from holyfield on his website " the hard work is not mike its the media"
ok then toney and byrd´s prime would beat holyfield´s prime ;), fair enough

Believe what you like...but you speak of Tyson like you have stars in your eyes. Evander Holyfield, in his respective prime...would beat Mike Tyson, in his respective prime.
Tyson was never the same after going to jail. But your 86-88 version of Tyson would lose to the version of Holyfield who beat Foreman and lost to Bowe.
The bold section smells like Tyson fanboy excuses.
ok then toney and byrd´s prime would beat holyfield´s prime ;), fair enough
smell double moral here, so you are saying holyfield when he fights tyson 1996 and rematch was tyson´s prime?, and toney and byrd fight holyfield when he is not prime? dont make any sence here
around 1986-88 tyson would owns holyfield, holyfield wasent big enough. even so tyson would ko him, tyson 1986-88 would ko holyfield 1996. reason tyson was out of shape was because problem outside the ring, he lost his trainer kevin rooner etc
holyfield got lucky he was in right place in right time.

Nono you got it wrong. Byrd and Toney dont last more than 8 or 9 rounds with a prime Holyfield. I mean stylistically, and those guys being the types of fighters that they are, Holy owns Tyson. He's too strong mentally and physically for Tyson to do anything with him at any point in their careers. I'm not saying Holy owns Tyson simply because he beat him twice...but had they fought 1 fight at any point in their careers, knowing little about each other, Holy would beat Tyson almost every time. I understand that Tyson was a great force and was more than just a ferocious puncher, but he wouldn't do anything to rattle Holy.
Holy had a couple primes...the cruiser&young heavy version and the one who bitch slapped Tyson...at least IMO.

ok, so you mean toney and byrd owns holyfield?. tysons didnt only was a hard puncher he was fast and got a lot of head movement. when was holyfields prime?, when he fight against bowe/douglas?

Evander Holyfield KO's Tyson at any point in their respective careers. Prime for prime Holy KO's Tyson. It doesn't matter. Tyson's career banked on being a ferocious puncher and scaring his opponents like Mike Spinks. Holyfield was afraid of NOTHING. He'd eat anything Tyson threw at him and then proceed to bully him around the ring for the rest of the fight, ultimately KO'ing him or winning a lopsided decision.
Like runw/knives said, Holyfield OWNS Tyson. A fighter with heart, a chin, and a good, hard jab OWNS Tyson. You match the Bowe that Holyfield fought for the first time against a prime '86-'88 Tyson and Bowe would MURDER him. Holy sat in front of Bowe and ate his best, while almost taking Bowe out in one of the greatest displays of heart ever.

lol that was the most pathetic i ever read. holyfield was recovered from heart condition he didnt have any problem whatsoever when he fight tyson,
and considering what tyson has been throw(if u know what i mean u) i am amaze that he even could stand up against holyfield for 11round
"they" or the media said holyfield was old, but the true is that holyfield was in his best shape ever, just look at his body he was fit and "bigger"(size doesnt matter but there is a but;)) than tyson
stop bs pls, the true is tyson was gone and holyfield in his best shape ever(if not when was his best shape then?). prime tyson would ko holyfield

6'4", 231 lbs......with a beautiful jab, & moving like a welterweight = Douglas
Stubby-armed, short.....just plain overrated = Tyson
A motivated Douglas beats a motivated Tyson EVERY time.
Douglas didn't just beat Tsyon....he SCHOOLED him, PUNISHED him.....& dropped him like a sack of shit.
You Tyson fans are a bunch of excuse-making whiners.
You've been whining about this guy for 15 years. You're almost as bitch-like as ol' Mike !
That is one of the most Dead on Posts I have ever seen.
All you hear about are comparisons to Tyson in regards to his punching power.
OVER-RATED. (as a fighter that is). he did have power.
Tyson is a "Never Was" fighter, who choked in the biggest fights of his life.
