Mayweather-Dela Hoya was the biggest fight of all time
STFU with this mayweather shit you tool.....and by the way this fight is just as big from what i have been reading and seeing.
Where are you pulling this shit from?
I love how the second half makes the bolded look stupid, btw. Nice touch.
uhhh Hatton stopped him and Cotto didnt :crackhead
If Hatton had Cottos power that fight would have been over in round 3 though.
Exactly, i get your point, these guys think power punching and busting a guys face up is the be all end all of fighting.
Oh i know.....now i didnt mean EVER i was more or less being sarcastic since we dont have these type fights too often, now i know its not Hearns-Leonard but you guys know what i mean.
i totally understand and agree.
It isn't an excuse if it's true. It's something you factor in to your assessment of Hatton's performance and how it bodes for tonight.
1. Buddy McGirt stopped Paulie. Cotto put Paulie in hospital. Hatton inflicted nowhere near as much hurt.
2. Maussa is about the only time that leaping left hook has done the job on anybody, so we can safely call it an anomaly.
dude just shut the hell up please you souned like a NOOB, hatton beat malignaggi worse than cott, you cant just go by facial damage come on man lol. hatton won every second of every round.
Hey-hey, it's the Brothers Chuckle.
First, Cotto put Paulie in the hospital. McGirt simply pulled Paulie out on principle against Hatton because his fighter had no offense.
You're arguing that Hatton and Cotto have similar power, by telling us that Hatton outlanded Paulie better than Cotto and still couldn't really damage him? Bad way to argue it.
Cotto actually landed a lot more power shots on Paul than Hatton. Inflicted some evil damage. Put him in hospital.
Paulie did a lot of damage limitation in the fight with Hatton. It was all he could really do, since he couldn't put punches together. He got a bit scuffed up, but the way you guys are exaggerating the damage to make Hatton look like some force of nature is pathetic.
Hatton has very decent 140 power. Cotto hit somewhat harder there. Paul said so, and he would know. Don't know why you're aguing this. Makes you look stupid.
No, really. WTF are you talking about?
Epic fail!!!!!
After watching countless hours of footage in the build up to this fight, 24/7, Sky's studio countdown, various interviews etc. I notice that Roach and Co seem to be expecting Hatton to "revert back to his old ways".
Watching 24/7, they seem to be training for the inevitable Hatton rough housing, bullying tactics.
Isn't it too much of a gamble to concentrate most of your training on an assumption that your opponent even denies? What if Hatton pressures forward but uses angles instead of wrapping his arms around Pac? Something old Floyd and Ricky both agree on, and have obviously trained for.
Malignaggi and a lot of people in these forums were taken by surprise the same way. A lot of people thought Malignaggi would simply tame Hatton as he charged forward, but it was in fact Malignaggi that was out boxed. I know Malignaggi is not Pacman, but I'm making the point that camps assume the wrong things and trrain for the wrong fight.
Should Roach really be concentrating so much on Hatton and his past wrestling style fights?
Incredible post.....
I think what the Op is trying to say is duh we know its not Ali-Frazier but with the way boxing has been the last 15 years or so this fight is easily one of the biggest global events in many many years.
if you dont think this is one of the biggest most anticipated fights worldwide than your nuts, do you know how many nations are involved in this and people?
walking along singin a song walkin in a hatton wonderland yea yea yea go ricky hatton lets go ricky hatton walking along singin a song walkin in a hatton wonderland.
Clottey did give Margarito trouble and he had a broken hand on top of it, though i think Margarito is a better style matchup for Clottey than Cotto is.
Cotto Vs Clottey is the fight I want to see.Cotto has what it takes to beat Clottey, but Clottey's no walk in the park.
Warrrr Cotto..........:boxing:
Its gonna be a WAR!!
