Outcome: The outcome of this fight will be determined by distance. Whoever can establish it and control it will win. Hatton will be at his best if he can close the distance and impose his size and strength on Pacquiao on the inside. If he can back Pacquiao to the ropes, he can dish out punishment. If he can’t get inside, he’s going to get punished by the quicker, sharper, busier puncher. Hatton will be careful in the early rounds as he tries to employ some of Mayweather’s technique to get in close without getting caught with anything flush. Pacquiao should enjoy success early on using his feet as much as his hands to keep a healthy distance between Hatton and himself, while he peppers the champ with jabs and straight shots to the body. Hatton will land a few counter shots as Pacquiao darts in, which will set off heated exchanges that thrill the crowd. However, as the fight continues, the more consistent offense from Pacquiao -- to the body and head -- will tell on Hatton, whose form and technique will break down with fatigue, setting him up for a late-rounds stoppage that is eerily similar to the one he suffered to Mayweather Jr.
Prediction: Pacquiao wins by ninth-round TKO.
Plus Hattons bets shot is to the body we'll see how Manny handles that.
He will handle it. Ricky's body punching is good, but let's be honest, it's not as brutal as claimed. If it was, he would have KO'd Lazcano and Malignaggi with it. Pacquiao has a better conditioned body than both of those guys. Lazcano was coming off a long lay off. He went the distance and managed to wobble Hatton. Malignaggi had a broken hand and no offense, yet managed to go 11 rounds before being plucked out by an over-cautious trainer.
Besides a very battle-worn Castillo and several virtually unknown fighters, I don't recall Hatton having great amounts of success with body shots. It's doubtful whether anyone would even be talking about his body punching if Pacquiao hadn't lost by body shot KO once, ten years ago while weight-drained. I can understand why some people have come to the conclusion that Pacquiao won't be able to handle Ricky's body shots, but Pacquaio being sensitive to the body is a myth. This myth was brought about by people who think he was KO'd twice to the body, which is untrue.

More importantly, I have picked Pacquiao to beat Hatton. I have not picked against Manny since the first Morales fight.
Manny should beat Hatton. Then he should walk away from a Mayweather fight.
You mean walk to a Mayweather fight?
The Ring picked Pavlik to KO Hopkins
The Ring picked Margarito to Stop Mosley
The Ring picked Pacquiao to beat Hatton

I can recall Manny being rocked way more in his career than Hatton ever was.
Yer but Manny fires back when hurt. Hatton desperately tries to hold on while taking about 50 more blows to the head for his trouble.
I honestly don't see the logic in these guys who predict Manny win by knockout. Hatton may not be as skilled Pacquiao but he's a fighter used to getting hit an awful lot and against harder hitter than Manny. Manny has a nice left jab but it's not gonna knock Hatton out. If Manny's gonna win and he probably will, it'll be on points.

they underestimate hatton's grappling skills and they don't take into consideration that pac doesn't know how to fight dirty or neutralize dirty tactics.
hatton wins this by choke-slam.
I'm sick of all this talk about 'controlling the distance' and 'whoever is stronger'. It's all garbage. The point is the Pacman is the better boxer, 1-2, out again, 1-2-4, out again, turn the angle. Hatton is not going to know what hit him. People go on about Pac having a weak body and wether he can stand up to the power of Ricky Hatton to the head as well. Well I'm guessing he can considering he took everything Marquez, Morales, Barrera threw at him.
Hatton was in all kinds of trouble against Lazcano and Collazo and no disrespect to either of these fighters but they are not as good or as powerful and quick as Manny.
