Sr just loves attention and i saying idiotic crap is a way to get attention. i wont say that Pac has great technique but He is FAR from an amateur and it makes Sr look retarted!!! When he said you can beat amateurs but not pros like that i just laughed. Since when are all the HOF's that Pac has beat amateurs?? Idiot.
He's just saying that because he's now with Ricky.
But deep inside he knows Pac is DA SH*T and Ricky is BULLSH*T!
After all, he did say that "Ricky Hatton isn't even as good as Gatti".:boxing:
lol, I completely disagree with you there buddy. Tszyu was one of the stiffest lower weight class fighters ever with almost zero head movement even when he gets hit. He would get hit by Manny so much, its not even funny. Tszyu is the type of fighter that Pac would have target practice, and although Tszyu has his great chin, it wouldn't stand to Manny's repeated power punches.
Rest of the fight is on youtube...
Bramble just went into the shell

He became stiff...and he also slowed and threw left as he aged...
Odd: Russian version of Tszyu was more agile and fast despite Russia being a cold climate. Australia, Hot, Tszyu stiffened and slowed. I guess you can’t put a Russian in Hot climate for to long or they stiffen and slow down over time.
Cool fight against a Southpaw
And?
that means Sr. doesn't know what he is talking about?
Foreman also won the HW title, twice, and wasn't Joe Louis in punching technique. It worked for him, but if someone was to say Foreman wasn't the best technique puncher, are you going to disagree given Louis is the comparison?
And it doesn't even mean that Sr. wasn't better than Pac in punching technique just because Pac won titles and he didn't.
Again, higher standards for Sr.
Compare Pac to Louis, SRR, Hearns, Floyd Jr, etc.
I have no idea what the fuk your point is.
Actually his technique wasn't any different up until the Spinks fight. How the heck are you going to judge Tyson's technique from a fight that lasted less than two minutes?
Tyson's skill diminished starting right after that fight because that's when he fired Rooney. I saw every single fight up to a few fights after the Spinks fight and the deterioration in his skill is definitely noticable in the fight right after Spinks (1st Bruno fight). Much less head movement, bad footwork, bad stamina, etc.
That's what I meant...
Certain style match-ups would be bad though. If this was a Prime Kostya Tszyu instead of Hatton, I think Tszyu would knock Pac out.

Boring at 147; not so boring below it.
Pac is more exciting though. I loved Gatti as well.
Most of the fighters I like to watch are more towards Pac. Tyson was the best of the lot that I liked for the attacking style since he was technically sound up to the Spinks fight. Not so good afterwards. Devolution of a fighter and importance of a proper trainer that suits you to get you mentally and physically fit to fight.
Tyson; as far as actually watching a fight live.

In Pacquiao's case it's not because he's tryin to knock people out...it's because he's unorthodoxed. Roy jones jr fought in a very similar way as Pacquiao. If you compared film of Pacquiao and rjj then by mayweather's logic rjj punches like an amateur too...but the man won a freakin olympic gold medal.
My point was that any fighter who tries to finish opponents instead of trying to rack up points like PBF will at least lunge once in awhile. No fighter who is trying to power punch is going to stay in perfect stance each and every second of the fight for each any every punch. Hell, I've seen pictures of PBF where his form was all fuked up.
btw if all boxers fought as defensively as Floyd there would be a WHOLE LOT more undefeated fighters and P4P contenders at the price of boxing matches being very boring.

How many fighters could actually fight like Floyd?
You still need the training and dedication and born-in ability...
he was refering to how sometimes Manny doesnt turn his knuckles out when he punches. if you watch Manny shadow box u can see what he's talking about.
No, you have no proof what Sr. was referring to. That's your opinion. And a opinion in which you clearly state that you know more about boxing than Manny Pacquiao, which is quite laughable.
Shadow boxing is different from real punching. Many elite fighters shadow box very differently from how they really punch in a fight. Many fighters don't even extend their punches fully when shadow boxing, etc. You can't judge a fighters punch from the way they shadow box.
I can assure you from watching many many clips of Manny hitting the pads and heavy bag vs shadow boxing, he knows how to throw a punch.
The reason why Pacquiao seems to be lunging is because he is trying to win by KO. That's what happens when any fighter tries to fight like Pac.
With your logic you would say Tyson in his prime punched like an amateur because he too lunged (quite a lot) when he was going for the kill.
It's impossible to fight technical for Pac's style because his strong points come out when he fights like he does, although he has changed some what in the last two fights.
You're not going to see anyone fighting like Mayweather be exciting. If Pac fought as safely as Mayweather then he would look technically sound also.

which part? beating PBF or shutting up the Mayweathers or both?
You cant shut the Mayweathers up, Roger is still talking about how he could beat Chavez after losing twice.

Floyd had to be just talking shit, he said something like "you gonna hit amateurs with that, but you ain't gonna hit no pro". That's when I knew it was all bullshit.
Either he's just talking shit, or he's really that ignorant and doesn't really watch Pac's fights in which he clearly shows improvement in all aspects of his game.
Emmanuel Stewart who is 10 times the trainer Floyd Sr. will ever be has constantly praised Pac's improvement in the fights he has commentated.
I hope for the sake of boxing that Pac dispatches PBF after Hatton and shuts up the cocky annoying obnoxious Mayweather's for good, if that's possible.
Not possible.
He is just talking trash, hopefully Manny and Roach make both Senior and Hatton each their words.
