I missed almost the entire Povetkin fight. It’s clearly not a connection issue because otherwise the rest of the stream would have been **** - or even their other stream wouldn’t work.. but they do..
Clearly their streaming servers are being strained and nothing is being done about it.
Absolutely no issues with my stream from the first fight to the last.
That’s surprising. Where do you live generally? I wonder if it’s a geographical issue.
I have the fastest non business internet available in Southern California and my Apple TV is plugged into Ethernet.
My connection was absolutely garbage the entire time. Every other app I run goes perfectly.
Whoops messed up my last post. Are you actually Shane Mosley? Yeaaa same here
Hey man liver shots are pretty brutal. I have been hit with one before and it makes me think he really didn't quit. Whatever you think about Linares as a fighter I mean man he came to fight. It takes a special something to lose by knockout as he has in the past and come back to be a champion.
However Canelo lost the first fight, came back to win the second. He’s squeaking out wins against tough opposition. Canelo is good no doubt, but pretending GGG is a can is exaggeration. Boxing fans are quick to call anyone they don’t like a bum.
To be fair GGG really did win the first fight with Canelo. I thought he lost the second one but he def won the first one. Not super big fan of either but it wouldn’t be right to act like that didn’t happen
I think Lopez is a good Boxer. Did you catch Robert Easter Jr’s fight against Commey though? Not a good look for Commey going into the fight.
That’s a compliment too for Lopez. So don’t think I’m taking away from his win. However just a sober analysis illustrates Commey is not better at any domain than Vasyl. He’s not more athletic, doesn’t have better footwork, activity, speed - you name it.
I think everyone was underselling Lopez and overrating Commey. Commey seems like a great guy too so no knock on him.
So absolute credit to Lopez. I think the Lopez vs Lomachenko fight should be interesting.
Except Loma was beating Linares. He did get knocked down - correct - but was he hurt?
Then he KO’d Linares with a body shot. Don’t forget Loma is a small guy. He has smaller arms than Pacquiao. Pacquiao has 67’, Loma has 65 1/2.
I’m not saying Loma is TBE but don’t be enamored by power. Skill is far superior to power. Look at Ward vs Artur Abraham.
Lopez is clearly skilled but the standard of which boxers are held are clearly indicative of their skill. That already tells the story of Vasyl vs Lopez.
What does the rest (that you wanted to ignore) say for l0m0?
I didn’t ignore anything. I never said he was tbe or that he never lost.
“L0m0”? You realize how dumb that is? Man child haha - Please kill your self, thanks.
l0m0 got put on his ass by a WEAK puncher who has BEEN K.O.'d multiple times BEFORE l0m0 stopped him, tagged by Tank's leftovers & beat by a fighter with a dozen losses :lol1:
Except Pedraza landed more punches on Davis than he did Loma for 12 rounds. What does that say? Fairly obvious. Loma’s + - is the highest in boxing with Crawford coming in second.
Religious people are guided by their religion. Non-religious people are guided by what?
The god I'm referring to isn't necessarily the Christian one. All the world's great religions have their own conception of god, but in general they are all fundamentally for doing good or engaging in right action.
Huh? We are guided by socialization. To have solidarity with one another. This is why sensible people fear nationalism, bigotry and racism. I don’t mean SJW types either that claim any criticism of anyone who isn’t white is somehow racist.
Everyone should have solidarity to each other no matter where you come from. You don’t get that from anywhere, it’s innate. Hence why you see children very young spontaneously trying to comfort a sad parent.
You don’t have to learn this. Religion merely provides another barrier between people when they become fanatical.
You disagree with Trans people right? Me too. Why? 0 evidence. No facts. Same with religion. I’m just more consistent and apply that to religion as well.
I think people suspect race comes into things sometimes but most people are chill. My spouse and I are interracial. White/black
Her grandparents were cool and so were mine. Most people are good people and don’t care about that.
I don’t know why but so many times in these comment threads I will see race bleed through - we all are jus trying to get on with our shiy though and make life happen.
Just my two cents, peace.
Here you have the religious Lomachenko saying we are all children of the same God and shouldn't be fighting. Is that not the same as solidarity?
In his case religion isn't a barrier between people. It's causing him to try to reach out and bring people together.
If that’s as far as it ever went that would be fine. That’s what I’m saying too - if that’s true, that’s fine. However, facts and evidence need to be valued above all else. So if he’s never taking it that far, that’s good. Except it doesn’t for most people on this planet. The clashes between sunni and Shia have caused endless misery.
Christians vs muslims in Indonesia and Catholics vs Protestants in Northern Ireland. Are just a few examples
Religion only comes to us in this peaceful manner now because it’s been effectively castrated in the west leaving it no actual power.
Let’s not forget how Christianity in particular behaved when it really did believe god was on its side and it did have power.
Good for Lomachenko. I think it's time for people of faith to take a stand and voice their opinion more.
The way the world is going at this point I'd rather see them trying to lead the way than the atheist/transgender/abortion crowd.
I don’t believe in God. I also don’t agree with abortion as contraception and I think the transgender movement is garbage.
Trans people have 0 facts on their side. They just believe it because they want to. That’s exactly what people do with religion.
The far left are fanatic zealots for ideology.
I hope reason can band together against all things unreasonable. Religious or not.
This Current ERA? Not Much! Too much Politics, too Divided, too much negativity from Writers and Fans
Boxing has the most B#TCHY Fans, all people do is complain, a bunch of miserable F#CKS
I do like the mentality and the potential of the next generation (Shakur Stevenson, Vergil Ortiz, Jaron Ennis, Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, Teofimo Lopez, Chris Colbert...)and I think they can make this sport great again. I see a different mentality in those young men compared to the guys who are on top right now whom when asked about fighting other top guys in their Division they all seem so reluctant and don't want to say guys names and all that petty MALE DIVA BS
Need more boxers with a "Anytime Anywhere" mentality, everybody can't Mayweather, everybody can't be the A Side
I totally understand the criticism of top fighters being businessmen first and fighters second. I do respect their decision to do so but it does make it far less interesting to say the least. Makes me lose hope sometimes
We aren't creatures of pure logic, like robots. Religion acknowledges our spiritual dimension and tries to tend to it.
It does my heart good to see a major boxing figure like Lomachenko not be afraid to express his religious convictions. Maybe the kids coming up who look up to him won't be afraid to stand for the goodness of their particular religions, even if they aren't of the Orthodox faith like he is.
I never said we are creatures of pure logic. The problem is, you can still be deeply spiritual and not believe in a god. I’m assuming the god you are referring to is the Christian one.
There isn’t a single moral action that can be taken by a religious person that a non-religious person can’t do.
Watching a fight where I truly dont know who is going to win . When those ring walks start and the crowd gets going I get goosebumps . No other sport does that for me . Then the intensity of each round not knowing what's going to happen. ANYTHING can happen. It's the circus of the unknown and that Is appealing to anyone . Punching in the face , knockouts, and the sweet science is just a bonus haha
Good input, highly anticipated fights are just as good in the buildup and speculation sometimes as they are in the ring. What was your FOTY pick for 2019?
So you are saying all of it should be taken with a grain of salt? I don't believe that - of course promoters can conspire with judges and networks to ensure certain cash cows win and steer up and coming ones to be on the right track to make them $$$ but to say ALL of it seems a bit far fetched.
If you disagree I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
They do this for every high level fight. Watch Errol vs Porter. They would count everything for Errol. They act like the favored champs land so high to try and boost compubox. Boxing is corrupt it’s killing my will to watch it
Isn’t all judgement subjective though? Isn’t that the argument for some wanting 15 rnd boxing back?
Don’t get me wrong I agree with you but it seems this has always been the case with boxing fans. Kinda sucks IMO but I don’t know if it will ever change
I think people get wrapped around certain fighters who have built an aura around themselves. Especially along the lines of Ward and Kovalev. Kovalev's punching power, Ward's boxing ability. Regardless of what you think of either fighter, never forget it's a fight. Anything can happen in one, all it takes is one punch and someone is out of there, whether you are pillow fisted like Malignaggi or if you got bricks in your gloves like K. Holt.
In the end, it's a good day for boxing when two of the best come together to prove who is better.
Needless to say this a great matchup, I just love these fights amidst the great dry spells in boxing. Vasyl is my favorite fighter to date to watch, always a pleasure to see and such an entertainer with his footwork.
That being said, it's still a fight between two warriors. I am intrigued to see what happens if Walters allows Lomachenko to get close and size him up, what will happen in the exchanges? I won't pretend to know what happens or get too involved with it but, you best believe I am tuning it to see it. Knockouts and clear one sided decisions tell much more than close fights.
Walters size and reach will be a great factor, but so will Lomachenko's footwork and defense. I am just glad that the fight was made in the first place. I have a gut feeling this will be Loma vs Russel Jr. all over again but I could easily be wrong.
