Thurman hasn't fought since July against Collazo who nearly dropped him with a body shot.
Porter hasn't fought since June against Broner who dropped him with a hook in the 12th.
Garcia hasn't fought since August against Malignaggi. Fighting tonight versus Guerrero.
Brook hasn't fought since May against Gavin. Upcoming against Bizier.
Khan hasn't fought since May against Algeri. Algeri at the moment is better than Collazo, Broner, Malignaggi and Gavin. But only Khan is becoming irrelevant right? Give it a break.
Exactly. Brook is in a lot of trouble. GGG knows how to cut off the ring and Kell weighing more will slow him down. If he decides to stand and trade, good night.
Tank got hit way too much. It's a 50/50 fight. Tank may have a solid chin and can take Garcia's one punch power. Garcia may have delicate whiskers and get slept like Santa Cruz.
Smaller fighters can step around him or get inside on him, hit him with an upper cut or angle in a hook to the head or body. Dude probably got stone feet if he is a meathead.
Lopez's defense needs work, he looked uncomfortable getting hit. I think he has the ability to take big shots. But I'm not so certain he can beat Haney, Tank and Ryan. Stylistically he'd match up best with Tank cause of his size. Ramirez and Taylor are both beatable by Lopez also. His pot shot style, catch and shoot, movement will give them trouble. Ramirez and Taylor both like to get on the inside neither really boxes on the back foot.
Don't be surprised if Brook hurts or drops Crawford. This cherry might back fire real quick. Crawford been hurt in multiple fights and leaves his chin hanging out there. Brook hurt GGG and gave Spence a ton of problems. Brook is coming in tremendous shape, we're about to see just how good Crawford actually is.
Crawford's defense isn't as good as Floyd's. At 33 years old Floyd had fought Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo x 2, Zab Judah, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Shane Mosley. At 33 years old the best names on Crawford's resume are Gamboa, Postol, washed Khan and Brook.
Lol. “Jake the Boxer”
Go to YouTube, type “Duran vs Barkley” or “SRL vs Hagler” or “SRL vs LaLonde.”
“But but Crawford a Welterweight wah wah wah” lol
Big facts yo dudes these day built different, even Mayweather fought De La Hoya and Cotto at 154. But Crawford is too small lmao, how this guy is considered P4P #1 is beyond me. I think Spence may have some balls to fight at 154.
If Lomachenko loses on Saturday, how will it affect his legacy?
I don't think it'll affect it too badly. He's still accomplished more in 15-16 fights than most fighters do in their whole careers. He's tied for fewest number of fights to win a world title, and holds the record for fewest number of fights to become a 3 weight world champion.
If he gets slept early, which I think will happen in the early rounds. His legacy will take a hit.
Bruh Spence was getting no credit cause people said GGG damaged Brook. It's 3 years after the Spence fight and in between Kell Brook got beat up by a stripper, Michael Zerafa. However I actually suspect Brook will perform well against Crawford and may even pull the upset.
Canelo fought Shane Mosley, Austin Trout, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Erislandy Lara, Miguel Cotto, GGG x2, Daniel Jacobs, Sergey Kovalev. You think Lomo beating a 23 year old will make him P4P #1? Lomo needs to be careful if Lopez catches him he might get knocked out, Linares put him down with a baby straight right hand.
Ruiz was too fat in the rematch but Joshua did a good job boxing from the outside. I always thought if Joshua fought Wilder he would get Breazealed. But tbh this is heavyweight boxing everyone is a live dog.
Wilder can still KO Fury.
Wilder can KO Joshua.
Joshua can KO Wilder.
Joshua can KO Fury.
Fury can KO Wilder again.
Fury can KO Joshua.
Fury is on record saying that the Cunningham fight was the hardest fight of his career. That was before Wilder but seems like he thinks Wilder was pretty easy.
Its tough to land big shots on Fury especially if they're telegraphed but I think a smaller quicker guy who has enough stamina to fight 12 rounds and enough pop that Fury respects it.
My pick? Usyk.
AJ lacks the ring IQ and the dog in him to win against Fury and Wilder is a one trick pony. Any other guy is going to have to hope Fury isn't dialed in.
I think Fury is easily #1 in the HW division too.
We haven't seen enough of this "new" AJ to make any have any real sense of what hes done to change himself. Now he boxes on the outside? But what can he do against a guy that isn't WAY overweight and knows how to cut off the ring? Is his jab still going to be lazy and how good is his gas tank now?
Wilder? I think hes done.
Usyk is the perfect example of someone who can beat Fury. Usyk is slick and quick. You're not going to overpower Fury and he is a great boxer himself.
Usyk might even have a shot at beating Joshua or Wilder but need to see how his chin holds up to bigger shots. Hopefully they make the Chisora fight to give us an idea.
He needs to work on his defense, he started panicking and was all over the place when he was getting touched by Loma. Seems like he has a decent chin though. I think Haney, Davis and Ryan are close fights for him nothing given.
Lopez won 8-4, stop making excuses. Lomo was rated P4P #1 and declared the most decorated amateur in history. But he got dominated by a 23 year old lmao.
Yeah feather fisted Paulie is a great representation of what could happen in a street fight lmao. Literally any other boxer with decent power this fight would've been a different story.
The ref gave Joshua at least 20 seconds before waving the fight off vs. Ruiz, Joshua was chilling on the ropes till the ref realized Joshua was dazed and confused. Fury also got 20 seconds vs. Wilder, he got up at 10 fight should've been called off but the ref made Fury take a walk in both directions and checked his gloves.
Don't talk about fairness of boxing in American. British boxing has always been a joke and this year the most. Ya run your mouth like you can do something than an American will travel there a beat your fighter down, you'll make excuses. You think Wilder is ducking Whyte, like its some conspiracy by the WBC to prevent Wilder from fighting fat boy who gets knocked down every fight.
If Americans give extra time, Brits always wave the fight off way too quick. Two cases in point:
Joshua vs. Takkam
Froch vs. Groves 1
No one gets a fair shake on the scorecards in the UK either. I'm almost certain all British fight fans are incompetent. Eddie Hearn is a sell out. You going to have fun watching Joshua get knocked out in Saudi Arabia? You think Wilder will ever fight in Saudi Arabia?
Strongly believing he knocked out Fury, because the ref gave a long count and a few extra seconds for Fury to run around. But I think by far British fight fans are the lowest IQ in the world.
Sure Pacquiao is a legend. But objectively speaking you can't rank him higher than Mayweather, biggest reason being Mayweather defeated him when they fought. Mayweather fought Oscar and Cotto at 154 where Manny weight drained them down to 146-147. Not to mention the many other catchweight fights Pacquiao had in his career. Plus Pacquiao been knocked out multiple times whereas Mayweather only touched the canvas when he broke his hand. Pacquiao was also outboxed by Erik Morales. Pacquiao is a bit of a fraud come to think of it now. Beating Thurman who had trouble with Joseito is not that impressive.
This is a new era the younger kids seem to be more physically enhanced like Ryan Garcia, Vergil Ortiz, Zion Williamson, even if some lack skill. Your body does start to change at 30 but if you take good care of it like Mayweather, Hopkins, Tom Brady or LeBron you can continue to have success into 40+. But everyone's body is different some people do start to break down earlier than others, so it all depends.
