All three judges are from Nevada, Floyds gonna get the benefit of a doubt with every fight. He's earned it, he earned this fight. but yeah the score margin is to be expected.
I have absolutely no idea how anyone could score that fight a draw, or a Cotto win.
Worst case scenario it was 116-112 decision for Floyd. He worked Cotto. Masterclass man. If you can't appreciate the man's skills, you really should not watch boxing.
That was a clinic. He made Cotto look absolutey ordinary. He had complete control of the fight, and probably could have stopped Cotto in the 12th.

And always has the punchers chance especially within this w/d I think it would be possible for him to beat anyone of those guys. It's not that hard to spar in front of a crowd, and that explains why one guy looked dominate and the other looked like he never tried. Tyson just walked in ate punches all night.

I've heard this before. It has crosse the minds of a lot of people that the fight must have been fixed. But who gained? Tyson? who is in Debt past his head, millions over his head? Or Douglas who caughed up his tittle so quickly? Don King was gonna get a Mnt. of cash anyway so why have his crown jewl take a dive?
For a rematch? There wasn't even a rematch claus in the contract of Douglas would have had to Fight Tyson again before his firs title defense. Especially with Don King at the wheel.
I maintain Douglas had a rare spark of will in his ass that day. He had somthing to prove. The man had the loss of his mohter to deal with and it isn't hard to believe that carried over to the fight. He had his finest hour. And Tyson, showed up believing he was invincible. this fight was already won in his eyes Im sure. His problems outside the ring may have had some affect. But the problems with his will and determination I say are the culprit. Somthing from then on just seemed wrong with Tyson's head. Was it somthing that had always been there that Demato, Roony and co. was able to cover? Don't know but I don't believe he took a dive. I may be wrong but I don't think the pay off would have been able to out weigh the downside of the bargain.
Toney at 200 lbs would be a serious force in this division. I think even at 215 or 220 he is too flabby. Toney at 200, who's chin will be just as good as it is at 235 and his power effectively improved because his speed will dramatically increase, would be a much better heavyweight than the bloated incarnation that shows up to fight and hardly ever wins decisively.
215 is the absolute HIGHEST he should weigh.
