to much is made out of this mexican fighting style. It's not a mexican style. Look at JMM, izzy, rafa marquez, mijares and i can list many more. They are very technical fighters. It's all in your mentality! It has nothing to do with your race. Most black guys are scared to get hit! if you got the warrior mentality you got the warrior mentality it has nothing to do with race. Look at gatti and ward they had the warrior mentality, hollyfield and tyson had the warrior mentality and alot of mexicans due to their roots and upbringings they have a warrior mentality. It's not your race that decides how you go about things it's your heart, your will, and your mentality.

That's true. At the same time, I don't think he should get in the ring with some can either (Golden Johnson :lol1:), 'cause that'll just lead to more ridicule from fight fans. How about someone like Luis Collazo? Carlos Quintana? Those guys aren't pushovers, and have the skills to outbox Marg, but they aren't as heavy-handed as Cotto/Mosley/Clottey. Would a win against one of those guys help?

Depending on how damaged Margarito is, I think both Quintana and Collazo would give him a good fight...then be broken down in the latter rounds by Tony. Again though, depending on how much he has left.

in his fight with antonio diaz he showed that he has speed he just doesnt use it.

Manny outclasses Victor, wins comfortable decision
i say that because i mean we haven't really seen victor ortiz's chin really tested. he hasn't fought a real strong puncher yet. i would like to see him fight a tough fighter first. then i could really choose that manny outclasses him but until then i say he beats him badly.
Call me crazy,but Tommy Hearns has a glass jaw and questionable defense, so with that I think the fight would seriously go either way and I give Margarito a 50% chance of winning!

i brought him up because he is a prime example of a fighter who runs this has nothing to do with him being in your avatar in fact i just now noticed.
Hearns stamina was only suspect once it went past the 13th and even then it wasn't bad. In a 12 round fight Hearns would be fine.
naw i've sen him winded in other fights like the iran blade barkley fights and he was completly winded in those fights.
I'd take Margarito by late stoppage. Stamina was never Tommy's forte. And i don't think he would've stopped granite chinned AM.
i take that into account also hearns would get very tired in the later rounds and his chin was the best marg has like the toughest chin.

1.) hearns= fast starter;
marg= slow starter then picks up middle round;
2.) hearns= big puncher one of the p4p heavy hitter in the business;
marg= volume puncher; wears you down type of fighter;
3.) hearns= above average chin;
marg= world class chin;
4.) hearns= more of an offensive fighter;
marg= also an offensive fighter;
so both being offensive fighter we can expect fireworks early in the fight...
My take is this.... it's like a repeat of hagler-hearns
but only like as in similar because obviously hagler is bigger than marg and more relatively skilled fighter...
If we can equate hagler's chin (who is also legendary) with that of marg's chin i say it goes to middle rounds until 5-8 butbecause of the volume/number of power punches marg has to withstand in order for his game to pick up i say hearns knocks him out....
if his chin may not be equated with hagler's chin in the fight with hearns, i say round 1-3 by brutal knockout by hearns...
If it goes more than 8, i say marg has the chance of outpointing hearns by a very very slim margin...
But still i'll go with hearns by ko....
