The photos, which appear to feature the former boxing champ in a fishnet body suit, black pumps and a wig, were posted by X17 Online last Wednesday.
However, at least one photo expert reckons the offending pics show signs of being doctored.
“Whoever retouched these photos has mediocre skills in photoshop,” Jeff Sedlik, professor of photography and forensic expert in photography, tells Access Hollywood.
“It looks like they spent a lot of time to put one over on everybody, but didn’t quite make it. When you zoom in and look at this pixel by pixel you can tell they’ve been retouched.”
“An expert with sufficient skills could retouch these images so that nobody could tell. Somebody spent a lot of time attempting to mask their work. They were looking for a pay day and it looks like they got it.”
Shortly after theracy snaps were posted online, an attorney for De La Hoya released a statement, claiming they were 'phony':
“Oscar does know the woman who we believe is selling these photographs to the tabloid media. But he assures me that the photos are phony. He has asked me to pursue his legal remedies. Because we are contemplating legal action, Oscar will make no further comment at this time.”
However, X17 continue to stand by their photos.
In a statement on their web site, they said: “regarding the possible Photoshopping of the images – we got a letter from Oscar’s lawyer today and while they’d love us to take down the pix, they didn’t initially dispute their authenticity!”

If one is fake, they're all fake.

man, whitaker is messed up, cocaine is helluva drug
you would have never guess that this guy is known for dodging punches if you didn't know who he was.
Damn bro I didn't know argentinians were that heavy
I wonder if they are on average significantly more overweight than other Latin countries
Argentina loves its beef but it's nowhere near as fat as Mexico. Mexico beat America on the obese chart a couple of years ago, America.
danny had a way better chin than everyone thought. zab seriously hurt him in their fight and his defense is pretty much non-existent so logically everyone thought lucas would bomb this guy out.
having said that, it was still a very close fight. danny pissing blood for weeks and getting his mouth guard punched out tells you he has a good poker face too.
Provo is durable and more explosive than Matthysse, he should try to knock Lucas out in early rounds, since fight with Molina proved that Lucas aint a machine (Lucas is one of my favorite fighters, but he was seriously hurt in this fight, thats a fact). If Lucas survives early 6 rounds i see him outboxing or TKO'ing Ruslan in later rounds.
debatable.
provodnikov has faced ONE good puncher, alvarado, who i don't even rate very highly as a puncher. his durability and his chin is still questionable to me. one thing to consider is that he has been gone life and death with non-punchers on numerous occasions.
matthysse has a higher KO%, has one punch knock out power, and can turn up the heat during any of the 12 rounds.
Ruslan is tougher. Yes Lucas is tough as nails too but I'm telling you man, Provo is mentally demented /twisted. He wil get hit by Lucas and smile and keep coming. That's what I invisage. Lucas doesn't react as well when he takes a big shot.
And Ruslan not being able to get to algeiri doesn't have anything to do with winning a brawl
Ruslan almost KO'ed Bradley late and stopped Alvarado late. He didn't fade vs Alvarado. He started getting to him more and more. Yea his face swells up but Lucas does mark up too
I'm excited.
didn't say he would fade. ruslan either stops lucas early or gets stopped late because his face is too f*cked up to continue or via legit KO.
I'm thinking Ruslan stops him late
Gets to him. Lucas won't be able to help himself but to get involved in a brawl.
lol no way this fight goes the distance or even come near it, no way. corner stoppage, ref stoppage, KTFO, TKO stoppage. ruslan will fight an uphill battle the longer it goes, his face deteriorates easy and lucas is a strong finisher, his power doesn't fade.
it wasn't world war iii like some people said it would be, but good fight nonetheless. props to lucas.
great night of boxing, i'm proud to be a fan of this sport.
it was matthysse being injured and being smart that killed the hype. provo only knows how to fight one way.
WW3 didn't live up to the hype. matthysse controlled the action, pounding on provo till he hurt his hand then jabbed his way to a points victory. neither guy didn't really land anything devastating. not even one knockdown in all of 12 rounds... still disappointed.
Look at my last post
My heart and soul tells me so as does my mind
It shall be proved tonight
I'm sorry but Ruslan is the tougher guy
They are both tough but Ruslan toughness is off the richter scale
yea i read it. you're very emotional about ruslan having the better chin somehow, although you admit he hasn't faced one good puncher lol.
Why do people act like lucas has faces a bunch of beasts too? Lol he was dropped by danny and sorry ass molina
there's a context to this discussion.
jas claims ruslan has the better chin, but let me ask you, which out of these two groups of fighters punch harder?
judah, garcia, molina
herrera, algieri, bradley
i'll wait lol.
its funny because hes only been dropped once to a legal punch on the head and it was a temple shot
I still havent found any head shot landes by garcia when he was tangles in the ropes but lets assume it was a body sho...how does that rate his CHIN lol
molina 2nd KD was clearly behind the head
yup. remember lucas eating judah's signature uppercut like it was a small candy?

I don't see why getting dropped is such a bad thing. Bradley gets dropped but has an iron chin. Froch got dropped by Groves, and he def has an iron chin.
The dsg kd was questionable at best. Molina had one legit kd, the other was a rabbit punch. I think Matthysse still has a great chin, maybe not made of "iron" but we don't know if ruslan has a better chin yet (unless you rate an unmotivated Alvarado as heavy handed). I suspect he may have a better chin, but we won't know until tonight.
down goes gruber.
Danny is tough as fuck. He proved it in this fight.
There's another side to it as well though. Most people assumed Lucas had changed his mindset after the Judah and Alexander fights, and was no longer going to box cautiously. He was just going to go let his hands go instead.
The Garcia fight showed that Matthysse's mindset hadn't changed that much at all. His output dropped and he decided to box instead of taking chances when he was faced with another counterpuncher.
That, as well as Danny having better punch resistance than expected, played a big part in the fight going the way it did. Unless Lucas works with a trainer who can make him more confident to initiate exchanges against a counterpuncher, I don't think he'll ever fulfil the potential he has.
you don't think the eye injury factored into all that? because lucas was landing left hooks and slipping punches and was getting the better of danny in the first half, imo. he was clearly a different fighter to me after the 6th.
Rios stops him in 4 rounds. He is too slick and hits too hard.
rewatching rios-alvarado III... wow! i think the last time i saw a fighter look so flustered at another fighter's movement was in a pernell whitaker fight in the 90's. you really don't see that happen often these days.
