I was there in decent seats and yeah, I had Lucas winning 7-5. One thing that I'll repeat, Yes Lucas landed some thudding blows that you could hear from the seats but I felt like he never threw anything that convinced me that he was going for a KO. Never saw him attempt anything like that. Just enough power in those shots to keep Provo off. I guess he realized he wouldn't be able to get him out of there. I saw an interview where Lucas stated that nothing was wrong with his hand. weird how he never really tried to finish Provo. Great ****kking time though! :boxing:

I saw it without the commentary ... I was there... Everyone in my section had Lucas winning early and Prov closing the gap later on to the point where after the final bell rung most people were thinking a draw or Lucas win by one round at the most or maybe a Provodnikov win (you'd have to use more of your imagination) So while they were watching the fight, you were walking around with a notepad asking for opinions? NSB = now seriously butthurt

I was there and had a blast, felt bad for Provo, at one point I thought stopping the fight was a good idea but then he landed some good shots

just found out that Matts/Ruslan had VADA testing; Ruslan's side paid for the extra testing.

Ruslan got robbed. Matthysee just went life and death with a caveman. Lol he sucks. If Ruslan's eye wasn't busted from a HEADBUTT, he would of won. Just like how Lucas would of beaten Danny if his eye wasn't busted. the difference is matthysse was doing better vs garcia than provo vs lucas before the injuries occurred. even though the cut was produced early in the fight (second round) lucas was already showing what was gonna be the rest of the fight. i still have a lot of respect for provo, i know he is one of your top heroes :lol1:

i switched to hbo half way through, couldnt believe what they were saying....a draw? GTFO prov made it it a FAIRLY close fight by coming back in the later rounds, he still didnt win more than 4-5 rounds though. however his chin is the best in boxing, no question about it, i couldnt believe the punishment he was taking.

I dunno man i think it all looked awkward to me. He still delivered punches well because he is a great puncher and Provo has no defence. But when he was throwing he was very open to being countered. I might gif some of the moments im talking about later. I thought Provodnikov looked confused as to what to do even on the inside where people thought LM would get bullied. I just think Matthysse is a better fighter all round tbh. Like I say i think it was fine for this fight becuase it pretty much stopped Provodnikov doing what he wanted to do for the majority of the rounds. Against anyone else I hope he still uses his old style. I dont see Crawford or Herrera for example finding it difficult to fight Matthysse when hes on the backfoot. Matthysse won't be on the backfoot against them. Lucas is hardly ever on the back foot, only against Ruslan cause you'd be ludicrous to stand toe to toe with him.

I had it 8-4 for Matthysse. Provodnikov had his moments but I thought he was mostly dominated. Fun fight to watch!

Just like I said...Lucas f*cked Provo up!!!...Round 2 was rated R...Lucas was hitting him with some sick shots but Provo got a sicker chin and walked through ALL that ish :rofl:....WOW that muthaf*cka ain't normal!! Provo has probably the biggest heart, will and probably the best chin in the WHOLE sport...that's one tough muthaf*cka...major props!! Lucas beat him up and won at least 8 rounds imo even though Provo was getting his rocks off...Lucas took control from rounds 5-9 after CLEARLY taking the first 2...Provo came up big in rounds 10 and 11...but he only won the 11th imo...sick sick fight and I doubt either fighter will be the same!!

disagree. i thought lucas boxed beautifully while moving, it looked natural to me. he boxed the right way, compare it to what peterson did and why he lost the fight to danny.
