AFAIK Bivol is still recovering from a back surgery... Beterbiev is free as a bird (and I mean literally free since the Top Rank contract expired) ... Your point again ?
Benavidez is far from an ideal tune-up for Beterbiev, especially considering Beterbiev was simply waiting on Bivol to return from back surgery.
CBS and Zurdo effectively cancelled each other out after both swerved Opetaia. Since then, Zurdo hasn’t looked impressive in his lone outing, and Benavidez doesn’t need to come in anywhere near 200 to deal with him.
Very disappointing - I update a thread in Global Boxing that's almost slipped off the first page now.
Will have to find another site or platform if it's not fixed this year...
Despite winning a close fight with Teofimo Lopez, Kambosos still took some damage. He hasn't been the same since, but 140 is probably easier for him to find another money bag or two.
What really gets to me is these so-called "hardcore fans" who try to legitimize so-called "Daring to be Great" matchups. These circus-style events are more like WWE productions than real sport. They ignore deserving contenders and disrespect the true all-time greats—fighters who never avoided the best and proved themselves the hard way.
I still believe that Bud takes Canelo’s soul whether he cashing out or not
He's still unproven at 154 lbs. I believe Benavidez is a far more likely Canelo opponent.
It'll be interesting to see Buds next move after Madrimov. That is likely to take at least 12 months though.
Really? Looking at the rankings there's no 1 or 2 in the IBF so by default that makes Lubin the mando to Murtazaliev. It's Lubin's best chance at a belt at 154.
According to Tszyu's promoter, "Lubin has been mandated". How else could Tszyu Vs Lubin go to purse bid?
Murtazaliev wants to fight Tszyu (but not in Australia).
Tell you what , not the same at all
Bud will take Canelo’s soul
Mark my words
No. Bud is looking to cash out & Canelo doesn't want another Charlo circus tainting his resume.
It's fantasy, just as Bam & Inoue is.
As for Inoue Vs Tank, Tank likes to rain on Inoue's parade whenever The Monster has a big win.
#1 Oleksandr Usyk
#2 Tyson Fury
#3 Anthony Joshua
#4 Zhilei Zhang
#5 Agit Kabayel
#6 Joseph Parker
#7 Daniel Dubois
#8 Jared Anderson
#9 Filip Hrgovic
#10 Justis Huni
I believe Heavyweight is somewhat of a P4P anomaly (no weight limit). So when you average Fury & Usyk's weight out in a P4P sense.
Definately a 50/50 fight in reality though.
It's never been so difficult to rank the top 3:
#1 Inoue
#2 Usyk
#3 Crawford - inactivity hurts. Might be able to catch Usyk next fight, not Inoue though.
Justis Huni is still green & often gets critisism for lack of Heavyweight power. His speed & boxing skills have been suffice to date.
Huni became Australian National Champion in his first professional fight. He's already built a high quality 8-0 resume, his 9th opponent looks to be South African Kevin Lerena (30-2) in 3 weeks time?
I love the virtue signaling by good ol Paro. He knows damn good and well that if a boxer isn’t enrolled in VADA 24/7 ALL BOXERS, have taken, are taking or presently taking PEDS. Period, end of story. The better question is, is Mr. Paro enrolled in VADA 24/7?
if he isn’t then stfu and enroll. What are you waiting for?
Paro has never failed a drug test.
Throughout boxing history, it is hilarious how all the cheats say exactly the same thing: "There's been a mistake!".
Little do they realize, their argument is against science.
It's extremely difficult (virtually impossible) to get into Australia with any prior criminal convictions, including felony convictions.
It was a miracle Bill Haney got in.
Take away the old adage 'License to kill' - face charges of assault and battery, or homicide instead.
Of all the sports to use PEDs, Boxing is just wrong. It's not WWE.
