Kambosos is gonna take the leap to 140 and see if he can salvage an already overwhelming career
Hoping his power can carry over because I for one believe he’s reached his potential
Will be fighting a Canadian kid from Eye of the Tiger’s stable
Should have no problems with him but if he does …….
What's your take on him moving up ???
Paro vs Kambosos in Australia is probably a great cash grab for both and will be big there so makes sense.
Having Kambosos replace Zepeda for February is also understandable and it will be good money for him too even if a guaranteed loss so makes sense.
Anything other than those two? Ehhhh...
But unfortunately it will take
some shine from a big Aussie fight if he gets that L imo
I wouldn’t be surprised if Slow Eddie actually signed him to exploit his name for Shakur

Despite winning a close fight with Teofimo Lopez, Kambosos still took some damage. He hasn't been the same since, but 140 is probably easier for him to find another money bag or two.
For him to have any chance of finding that money bag , his power better carry over or it’s lights out
I hope it does cause he comes off as a decent human being

Think it will help him rejuvenate him to a degree since he does seem physically bigger than Regis Prograis and has fought at lightweight for more than a decade since he debuted, with him turning 31 years old this year.
Think he physically took too much of a toll trying to cut weight attempting to get definitive advantages over his opponents and receiving too much punishment in his bouts with Haney and Lomachenko.
Teofimo Lopez might now want to get his lick back against George Kambosos.
I think he’s reached his calling
He’ll have bigger problems if his power doesn’t follow
I think Teo should have a rematch to revenge that loss which he should win. That was Kambosos golden night of his career he is decent but not elite
I totally agree
The Bey fight was close but the Selby fight was an easy Kambosos W. It was just because he was on the road that he ended up with the split decision.
Regardless, Kambosos was the road B-side underdog in three straight fights against former/current world titlists and he won all three fights to become unified, lineal champion. Even if he never wins another fight, his legacy is secure. He beat three dudes he was supposed to lose to on the way to becoming lightweight champion of the world and nobody can take that away from him.
I don't know, I remember both fights being fairly close. Regardless he has those wins. They came in countries other an Australia but I don't weight that as much as I do who has the promotional backing.
I suppose he has the Hughes win too (although he didn't deserve it).
Kambosos had back to back split decision wins against Bey and Selby prior to his fight with Teo. I remember those fights and he didn't look impressive, some could argue that his opponents deserved the wins. Since Teo, he was outclassed over 24 rounds against Haney, was gifted a win against Maxi Hughes and got obliterated by Loma.
Would he be better at 140? Maybe. I think the far more likely truth is that he is a solid but basic fighter who isn't as good as that Teo win would lead some to believe....at any weight class.
