I actually thought he would try to fight canelo the same way he fought eleider in the rematch moving and jabbing.
He did the jabbing part but did not commit himself.
The boxers of yesteryear had more skills and were battle tested. Less weight classes crowded better fighters into having to fight eachother before title fights. We have belt holders now who have never fought a top 10 opponent.
I think when you cut to the core of the argument the best fighters of an era could compete against the best of any era.
I think usyk did a lot of good things lsst night but i want to wait until he gets in there after a few more at hw. I dont think he is ready for the top but can be. Im cocerned about the lack of ko power. Atm i think he will do better than the other cruiser champs in the past
Will he be adamek or will he be holy?
The Coach cam is entertaining. Marino is hilarious but I wish that they didn't sacrifice so much screen to it. I would prefer this to format to listening to commentary
I like this as a stay busy for fury. Martin redeemed himself for me in his kownacki fight. He atleast showed some fighting spirit. If martin has a good camp this fight could go some rounds
Give some credit to fury
I picked wilder to win and fury came right out and beat on deontay. He landed clean shots and immediately backed him up unlike the first fight.
Threads like this are bad for boxing always trying to asterick a good win
Robinson was the undisputed champ in an era of less titles that forced the best to really fight eachother
I know not much footage is available to the public but i can digest the skills of his available fights on top of what ive read to be able to make a case for him being the best.
I dont put him as some mythical unbeatable god like some but he would he a favorite against other welterweight legends
Vitali is a top 20 hw. He won a portion of the title and defended it into his 40s.
He had a lot of defenses in that second title reign. I think longevity should count for something. How many very skilled and talented guys lost the will and discipline to defend the title they worked so hard to win
To be fair what is charlo supposed to say? "Ima bum"
Hogan isnt a terrible opponent. What would the talk be if he got the decision against munguia?
I dont believe charlo is the best at mw but i think he can compete
A lot of things said in this thread femind me of things said about wladimir klitschko. I believe that AJ suffered from flaws in his game that caught up to him.
Wlad did not go for rematches right away and look at his career. People questioned wlads chin, heart, and stamina in every fight after brewster. I dont believe that aj will win back the belts and dominate but i dont see why he cant win a belt again
