How is that Espinoza saying it? It looks like the person who wrote the article is saying that. Espinoza has never gone on record and said what a fight needs to do in order to break even. Anybody who reveals that number is a numbnuts.
You have to make it ugly vs mayweather and being dirty is what it takes. If anything he earned my respect. Everyone fights mayweather with respect, maidana didn't give a ****, he came to win. Nothing wrong with the "if you aren't cheating your not trying" attitude.
Boxing Fans use the word "duck" and "robbed" loosely. Boxers don't fight each other for many political/financial issues. If a guy can fight somebody else for more money it's not ducking, it's just a business decision. As fans we want the fights that we want and if those fights don't happen then we immediately say someone ducked someone. Same with robberies. If the fight is close and someone gets the win then the other fighter didn't get robbed he just didn't get the Decision.
Stop paying for fighters whose styles u don't like. I don't know what fight you saw but the main event was a good fight. Mayweather used his feet when he needed to and stood in the pocket and traded with canelo for the most part. I think what your trying to say is that you want to watch a competitive fight. I just think Floyd is too good for anyone out and will continue to make them look like they don't belong. We can argue back and forth about masterpiece vs boring for the rest of our lives and neither one of us will change our minds. So my only advice is dont buy PPvs from fighters whose styles u don't like.
I don't see him beating marquez and Alvarado may have a punchers chance. Beating Matthysse and in the manner that he beat him was very impressive and deserves a lot of credit for that. However Matthysse himself was very suspect. Aside from being a brutal heavy puncher he really didnt bring too much to the table. I like Garcia and I'm excited to see what he does next but I don't want to be a prisoner of the moment. His win was impressive and exciting but lets wait and see before we start getting ahead of ourselves

Statistics show us that every opponent Floyd fights suffers in punches thrown and landed. Their average output is always less and their connect percentage is always less as well. Look at the numbers for pacman Marquez 3 and 4...his punches per round average was in the mid to high 40s...even if that number would hold vs floyd, that isn't an overwhelming amount.
Where is the backlash that mayweather got when the possibility of fighting khan first came up? Khan is a good opponent for manny but not floyd? I personally like the fight and love that arum and oscar might be making fights again.

I think if Prescott is going to sit and trade with Garcia, this has the making of a FOY candidate. I too want garcia to win by KO to make a statement. I hope he has more output. Sometimes I feel like he doesn't let his hands go as much.
Robert Garcia is from my home town and I have had the pleasure to meet him. The margarito fight was his first major fight and in my opinion the lights were too bright for him. He fought completely out of his character and down right like an amateur. He has been getting good work lately. Shawn Porter used him as his main sparring partner to prepare for Alexander. Hopefully he does well in this fight and can at at the very minimum have a gabriel rosado gatekeeper role in the game. Molina was supposed to fly out Saturday and was told to hold off because the New york athletic commission had not cleared him. He was cleared Monday and everything was good to go and now this comes up. I'm not sure what the situation is, but it looks very peculiar. I know that as the fight got closer more and more problems occurred between don king and the Polish promoter. There were concerns of Molina not getting paid. Seems odd that all of a sudden its a failed drug test. Molina has not been notified that he is suspended. Something is going on here other than this test.
This fight was on Saturday why is this being shown just now? The guy is from the same town as Omar "panterita" Fuigeroa...he's a come forward type of guy...has a good chin and good power but lacks defense.
