Punching up while shadow boxing is a great idea. Your shoulder stamina gets a tremendous work out from "elevated punch angle" shadow boxing.
Since you are going to have to adjust your punches to whever fighter is in front of you anyway, why not train your muscles for maximum resistance while in the gym. If you fight a taller man you are ready, if you fight shorter men...you are ready.
Its a good idea to add it to your shadow box routine. Just...try to look better than Chavez Jr does.

1. I wasnt talking about just this fight. Hence the word "ever" in the thread title. Pascal fought like a scared girl, heck they both did. I know they ARENT scared girls, no one that climbs through those ropes is. But they both worked hard at throwing 35 punches a round in the LHW division. The dirty fighter thing is just a conclusion I came to watching Hopkins become the oldest champ in history. If it didnt work, he wouldnt do it. I wasnt crying foul on this fight, hence me posting this well before the decision, just observation. So dry your gay fanboy tears already. =)
2. To all my "Watch more boxing" or "Never had a DQ" people in the house. You never said he didnt do it, just that he had never been caught. The wrong thing is the wrong thing, regardless of outcome. Would I rather watch boxing without it? Yep. Have I? Yep. I thought Hopkins won this right running away (as he did the last one) I just know, like millions of other fight fans, that he is one dirty bastard. Again, I dont think his tactics altered the end result of this fight in the least, just this fight reminded me of how bad it gets at times. And yes, Casa is FILTHY too. In my mind its the best ever defensive and most skilled fighters ever seen....versus a tall, strong, athletic robot who uses physical attributes to win fights.
Toney is smarter, faster, and 100 percent more technically skilled.
He is durable enough to last the early rounds. Takes Vitali deep, and drowns him.
