I would like to see Kessler vs. Miranda, because Miranda isn't as weak as most of the people think. He has been beaten by two good and very powerful guys, but this doesn't mean he is crap. I really would like to see how Kessler handles him, especially his punching power.
If the fight doesn't go ahead i'll be pissed but then we can see Pavlik vs Abraham which would be a great fight.
I've currently seen an interview with Kelly where he says that his focus is on Hopkins and then next on Abraham, because the fight with JC won't happen. Unfortunately, I can't find the link...:damnit:
Pavlik...and after that fight he moves up to SMW. He made this clear in an interview. I've read that on the website of the German TV station ("ARD") which is broadcasting today's fight.
I got the sniffles, I can't fight, sorry.

Do you know how high of a risk it is to fight without being able to breathe through the nose and - more important - to fight with the mouth wide open? If he really is ill the decision is 100% okay.
EDIT: If he really has the flu it is even more ok to cancel the fight. You shouldn't mess with influenza - it can kill you.
Honestly...I'd pay to see this fight. Vitali looked pretty good against Peter from the 4 rounds I saw, but man were his hands low. However, his hands weren't that slow for a 37 year old.
His hands were fast and they were that low (the always were a bit low, but not as low as today), because he knew Peter can't harm him.
Guys, why don't you consider Vitali as the hardest hitter? I mean his KO ratio speaks for itself, doesn't it? Wlad himself said that his brother (in his prime) was the one who was hitting harder.
He doesn't need to throw lots of hard punches...he has serious one punch power in his right arm.
You would make Abraham the favorite over Pavlik? I cant agree with that.
Obviously Calzaghe would be the favorite against him, and probably Bad Chad. That said I think Kelly has a solid chance against either of them, and I see him as a decent favorite against Old Hopkins and AA.
It depends on how Pavlik is able to deal with AA's "ropeadope" defense which is excellent and - of course - if he is able to take AA's punches (I doubt it - AA has improved and his punches are even stronger now. In the middleweight and probably even in the super middleweight there isn't anybody comparable in terms of punching power). AA's workrate sucks big time, so he can't win against tougher opponents by decision.
Hopkins: probably, but only because of Hopkins' age. even Hopkins of 2-3 years ago vs. today's Pavlik would result in Hopkins totally humiliating Pavlik
Calzaghe: highly unlikely, but possible due to Joe's age (Joe's slightly lost his edge over recent years imo). then again Calzaghe could completely school him
Abraham: i think Pavlik would deal with Abraham, but not easily. be very interesting if Abraham managed to hit him with some big combos too
Dawson: Dawson outboxes him to a points victory... way too slick
Pavlik vs. AA: If AA gets him with his bombs the fight is over...no need of some big combos. Just one punch with his right and it's game over for Pavlik. By decision he should win easily.
I'm a big fan of AA as well. I've watched all of his pro fights and I think he has the hardest punch in the whole middleweight (including super-middleweight). His defense is very good (turtleshell, ropeadope - call it what you like, but it works), he has an excellent chin, good stamina and throws bombs with both hands (especially his right is dangerous as hell). He is faster as most people think and his only (big) flaw is that he doesn't throw as many punches as he should.
I think JT is the favourite to win the fight. I'm saying this as a big fan of AA. JT should've everything which is needed to win if he makes use of his brain and has the right game plan.
BUT - and that's my question: What do you think is more likely, that JT knocks AA out or that AA knocks JT out?
I see NONE. Except for the fact that AA might hit harder. Their defense is boring and regardless if you think Winky won that fight, Jermain penetrated the defense as will be the case in the AA fight. This won't be a draw. AA's best opponent was Miranda and I think Froch (the weakest link) in my opinion in the tournament would beat Miranda easily.
Not might hit harder. He hits harder by a mile...he's the hardest puncher in the tournament and in MW/SMW
You must not compare Dimitrenko to either of the Klitschkos! Both Klitschkos would win against Chambers. And I doubt that he is a better fighter than Vitali or a better boxer than Wlad. They look stiff because of their size, but they're technically skilled. Vitali would destroy Chambers, no way for him to avoid the (T)KO.
Kessler and Calzaghe could both win by decision and also Pav could do that, BUT
- AA always has his chances, he's not predictable (his style is, his punches aren't)
- AA is not only dangerous in the first rounds. He can throw his bombs all night long.
- Punching power - AA probably has more of it than every other fighter in middle / super middleweight. He only needs 1 chance to take his opponents out which means that they have to work very concentrated all 12 rounds long. 1 mistake can mean lights out even for a guy with a rock solid chin.
- His defense is solid, he can take hard punches and his will is already legendary (Have you ever seen someone who continues to fight with a jaw broken twice?)
I think Haye would destroy Wlad if he just had a better chin.
The fact he doesnt means Haye vs Wlad could go either way
IF...
If doesn't count, because if Wlad would have his brothers chin and killer instinct every version of Haye would get a proper treatment.
The only "active" heavyweight who could beat Wlad is his brother. Vitali had and maybe still has everything to do it, but we know that this fight won't happen.
I undeerstand what yyou are saying but you can't call him a Valuev when he beat a guy like Margarito an Winky Wright? that's kinda messed up man, Williams desereves more credit than that. If he beats Pavlik or AA would you give him credit then?
He already earns credit, but as it has been said before, he hasn't been in a fight with a serious KO artist yet. If he survives Pav and/or AA he definitely earns top marks.
this is not a hunch or a feeling im having first off...in vitali's last fight he didnt look good at all because hes starting to age, which is completely normal. and vitali never handled pressure all that well, not that he buckled under pressure but he seemed to get flustered, he would back staright up with his hands down. And now hes facing a guy who puts on ALOT of effective pressure. i believe vitali is really going to show in this fight how much he actually is declining. i see vitali struggling to keep arreola off of him, and in the process getting TKO'd in the 8th round from an accumalation of unanswered punches. You heard it here first
Yes, I heard it here first, but I don't believe it. Please don't compare Arreola with Gomez. Gomez would beat Arreola, Gomez also would beat Haye. Vitali has never been knocked out and I can't imagine that Arreola is able to hurt him badly. Vitali will control the fight with his jab and Arreola will get TKOd between round 6 and 9.
McClellan was a beast in the offensive department, but his defense wasn't very good. AA can win against anyone in MW/SMW by KO and he's underrated in regard to this comparison by most of the people who gave their vote. It's a pick'em fight for me, but I would root for AA, because his punching power is devastating (he's the second coming of Benn related to punching power) and his defense is effective.
After the movie, I think Frazier still hates Ali.
Eubank and Benn - They're not good friends, but they respect each other...
Just remember the TV interview before the 1st Eubank - Benn fight which is also available on youtube - legendary! :)
What's all the fuss about German judges? First of all it's a fact that the judges are very often from UK or USA and not from Germany. Once in a while there have been and there will be bad decisions and "robberies", but we find these in nearly every country. May I remember you of the Schulz vs. Foreman or Sturm vs. De la Hoya fight? I can give lots of examples of fighters who have won by decision in Germany against a German fighter.
Regarding the Haye/Klitchko fight: Wlad will win the fight by KO inside of 8 rounds.
Team America - f*ck yeah!
I love this movie...some crazy sh*t...
If I would have to walk to the ring I would choose "Sonne":

Or perhaps "Killing in the name of"
