Lol boxrec has just updated it to 5′ 5½″

This is disappointing though. I was hoping to see donaire move up several weight classes, but now it seems he might just be able to do a couple.
But its okay, we only need to get to featherweight for Gamboa. :boxing:
I streamed this one, so I havn't watched the HBO version yet. But the interview at the end seemed okay, I didnt notice any bias from Larry. But Ill have to watch the fight again.
What nobody is really addressing here is this....
Yes, the referee was garbage. But he scored Khan with a knockdown in the first round that replay clearly showed was a trip : Khan landed a hook as Lamont was trying to retreat with Amir's leg behind him, so the shot caused Peterson to trip over Khan's leg going backwards.
Take that into mind, and Peterson was only "gifted" one point by the referee. And I don't really see that as a gift, either. As the referee warned Khan multiple times about pushing and holding Peterson's head down.
Granted he should have called a timeout to officially warn Amir that he was close to having a point deducted as all referees do, but one point deduction was clearly warranted, IMO.
Whenever Mayweather pushes off with his arms, most of you guys are the first to cry about him using his elbows.
I didn't think it was a knockdown, but Ill have to see the replay. Im assuming it wasn't, and the one point deduction is justified after all the warnings.
Also Rey Bautista knocked out an undefeated mexican 17-0(17 KOs) last weekend.
I don't believe Mark Melligan was the best pinoy prospect at all, whoever said that.
Overall, I believe it was a good year. More upside than down.
Just a simple thread, not sure why people need to start race wars.
Probably should of just posted this in the Pinoy Lounge. Just gonna get haters in here.
Yeah really. The guy has lived here almost his entire life and even tried out for the US Olympic team but was eliminated by fellow Fil-am Brian Viloria.
Donaire and Viloria - Great American Champions!
Yes, they both put their hands up. Then pacquiao dropped his hands and never raised them again, Marquez did. The pics are like a second apart... BTW idk if you noticed but this thread isn't about pacquiao. Feel free to take his balls off your chin. : D
And how long does he need to keep his hand raised to make it "official" that he truly believes he won? And yes his balls are definitely on my chin when I said he lost the 2nd. Since this isnt about Pac, Ill add a pic.

If Mayweather wins, maybe he'll move up to fight a Canelo or Sergio? If he loses, I think he would probably retire.
If Manny wins, I think he will retire. If he loses, maybe a Marquez rematch.
This is dumb...Both fighters put their hands up for Pac JMM II. You took a snapshot of Pacquiao not putting his hand up, and Marquez with his hands up at different times...then saying Pac knew he lost the fight. WTF?
I can take a snapshot of Marquez with his hands down in the 3rd fight and tell you that Marquez thinks he lost the fight.
All in all...I believe Pacquiao knew he lost the 2nd(as do I), and he knew he won the 3rd but was dissappointed with his performance.
He gave him a warning. The ref talked to him in his corner. That was different fight that night, where a ref deducted a point without a warning, I forgot which one.
But ya Cotto was a badass yesterday, even tried to break margaritos arm lol. Anyone notice that?
The thing is Manny doesnt need morales...at all
The only thing Morales has going for him to make this fight happen, is the fact that he is the last person to beat Manny. But then he got KOed the last two fights, and the fourth if it ever did happen.
It would be a bad move for Morales other than a nice payday before retirement. Morales-JMM would be better. If he ended up winning, then you never know maybe the fourth fight will happen. I wouldn't want it though.
Thanks for the share. Martinez definitely hold back because hes a lot bigger.
I have a feeling this threads gonna get really annoying with the replies saying so and so beat so and so's ass.
WTF? The video doesn't show him hitting a downed sparring partner. Nor does the reporter saying anything about him hitting a downed partner, all he says is he dropped him.........He's obviously helping him up, I don't see how someone can get that mixed up............
WTF IS THIS???? I was looking forward to seeing manny hit a guy on the floor...........
yea but rios has little to no experience at welterweight and he's fighting pac at his very first fight at the weight.
the guy comes from 135 (2 fights at 140) and now fighting pac with no welterweight experience whats so ever.
Then Rios made the right choice to take the payday. Pac's not coming down in weight to fight him, he doesn't need to.
I think Canelo will be fine at 152, not sure if there will be much difference.(Hope not) He should have just taken 154, because even if he does win people will still have that weight excuse.
