Lol at what Williams deserves. He don't deserve shit after all these gifts he's been given.
Williams doesn't judge fights so u can't hold that against him. Bottom line he has been in tough and always comes to fight.
I don't think it's that bad of a match up...P-Will deserves somewhat of a soft touch. And, Ishida is coming off the best win of his career which became even better when Kirkland stopped Angulo. So not bad at all.

LOL at people not giving Ishida any respect even though he destroyed Kirkland. He's not a worthy opponent for Williams but Kirkland would have been right? Keep drinking that HBO koolaid...
haha , people call this a soft touch for P Will, but i think its a soft touch for Ishida.
Hes so underrated.
Ishida by Decision
And im only half joking

i agree along these lines. gotta reward ishida
while it's not a mouth watering matchup, williams should not be in there with a big puncher. i'd like to see them keep him from punchers for the rest of his career, to be honest.
i would say, however, that even on BAD, without a stellar undercard i wouldnt like to see this as a main event. showbox it would be a great main event, but same as the BAD with a showtime championship boxing, i'd need a nice undercard or preferably for the fight to be an undercard.
paul should go ten rounds and not 12
and it shouldnt be a main event. i pay for HBO and showtime. they dont have many fights each month (until december, lol!)
fights like this shouldnt take away from the other stuff in the budget // schedule each year
I don't hate this matchup. Ishida deserves a little $$$$ after that Kirkland performance. I was hoping he could roll it into a title shot, but I seriously doubt he gets past Williams.
WIlliams needs to be a man and rematch Lara. He's seriously ****ed that mans career by taking a W he knows he did not deserve.
I don't even know how I feel about that. I mean the Punisher is my fave fighter, but I felt he should retire. Clearly he doesn't want. If that's the case he should rematch Lara because he clearly lost that fight.
ishida will ether get ko'd or outworked...........this fight will expose ishida for what he truly is.........i PRAY that this fight isn't made because i wanted him to fight kirkland again before a guy like willams............
Expose him for what he truly is?
You mean "the bum that knocked out James Kirkland"?
I think this is great fight. It gives Paul Williams a chance to build his confidence back but it also gives Ishida a chance to see if that fight with Kirkland wasn't a fluke...
It makes sense as a building fight for either guy. If Williams wins, then his name's out there, and he's much more attractive as a matchup for one of the 154 beltholders (I presume he wants nothing of a Lara rematch). And if Ishida wins, then Ishida-Kirkland II is a no-brainer.
He deserves comeback fight.
This could be somewhat difficult.
Two tall JMW's with little power.
Not mad at this match-up.
I agree nice confidence builder for PWilliams. Williams has had his struggles but the guy figths everybody in an era where guys hide behind their promoters and take all the easy fights. I do agree he should get a new trainer but Paul's at the end of his career.
