Whats with everyone completely sh!tting on clottey? You guys do realize this is boxing, bunch of melo-dramatic drama queens around here. This would be a good fight and further test for Ortiz at 147
Nope you are absolutely WRONG!
Ain't watching a fighter who throw out fights.
Waste of money.
I think the secret of some successful Filipino boxers was due to the muscle building of calf and ability to fight southpaw.
If you have a strong base in the floor, you have a tons of ability to move dynamically.
Being southpaw also, hard to get hit. Some right hand fighter can't deal with southpaw stand.
I'm curious, can you please name these so called 'pinoys' that you're referring to? I'm pinoy and the the only comment I made was in regards to soulglo lol. Who are the pinoys here? Coz I honestly can't tell just by looking at their names.
As far as I know most Pinoy here are educated, finished high schools and pursuing college education. Compare to the rest? GED maybe?
I'm not Pinoy but I know these people better than anyone.
stfu! asians respect and follow rules my ass.
hey that's why we are successful in any host country in the world.
more productive, smart, educated and has pocketful of money.....jealous huh?
i'm sure you are black or latino huh? not even a comparison.
Why self pity?
Filipino will not support another Filipino if a fighter has a zhyte attitude. Donaire is a filipino, the support he was getting from the Filipino not even close the support for Pacquaio...why? Pacquaio is a nice human being.
The money he got from Mosley's fight enough for one of his project hospital for the poor.
Your article is very nice but asking the Filipinos to tone down their demeanor will never happen. The demeanor you mentioned was only a reaction to an insult from the other side.
It's a natural process. You defend yourself.
Filipinos are not aggresive people. The become rabid if you poke their eyes.
Boxing to me is violent sports -- graceful dancer like Mikhail Barishnikov ?
that's BS move....no such thing.
Whatever it takes to win and less hit in the head to avoid future neurological problem, i'm with it. Style conscious? bullzhyte!
From previous riots---there are bunch that died.
I remember this last year riot in Dublin started by the englishmen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La6FXVBzUR0
If my arguiment is ignorant....then read your compatriots "Sir Stirling Moss " said about F1 and Austin. He knows best.
Failure my friend...failure!!

Nice commercial but his english is still soo bad
Why people thinks "english" is the measuring stick?
Japanese people can't speak a word of english and brainy as hell.
Most asians lack of english proficiency but no where near being stupid not like the people who speaks good english. Hehehehe...true right?
testing for only championship fights, 20,000 is nothing to a fighter on the championship or contender level. could use that money they pay sanction bodies with for belts.
that's stupid!
you are looking for credibility and now only for championship fight?
stupid thread----credibility is credibility...right or wrong azz o
well, jack ass, someone said not all fighters can afford to have testing, use your eyes and not just your "dick sucka" aka your mouth, *****.
You proposed credibility right? it's because others can't afford the fee you want to run around?
retard filipino....
Any more insight on that Riot you witnessed last year that just so happened to occur in 1995?
Riot is a riot - so maybe you learned a lesson?
Uncivilized!
not trying put you guys down but you do realize unlike UK which only is big on boxing and football and thats about it.
US doesnt care about boxing as much.
theres basketball, american football, baseball, even hockey. goto a sold crowd at either of those sport stadium and tell me whos more passionate. ull be surprised hockey fans can be very passionate. so in boxing MAYBE u guys have passionate fans, but i bet you hispanic fighter and pacs fanbase can certainly rival you guys.
Exactly right!
In Europe formula 1 is big (especially in england), but here in the USA, F1 will not make money. There are 50 states, almost all states has 1 or 2 major racetracks. Formula 1 race here is just like another friday night race in local track.
Racetrack in europe are scarce, one event in a year that's all they can take.
They are all shouting and flag waving zhyte.
They attemted many times to bring the F1, but always a failure.
"has nothing to do with the amount of tracks"
Has something to do with abundant of races we watch every minutes in the USA.
You can watch a race every friday-saturday-sunday and holidays or even drive your car in any of these facilities. formula 1 race turning is a wrong direction, just another race for us. Nothing special for us - not like in Europe...once in a blue moon.
As I said, how many times they presented formula 1 in the US? A bunch of times and all failed!!
They are planning to bring it again in Texas --- it will be another failure - no one will watch.
I remember the Pacquaio Hatton, man the Brits are wild. If they are in their own turf (say in Manchester England), it'll be like a soccer riot. They knew they can't do it here.... riots are not tolerated in the USA.
Riot because of sport?
Killing someone because of soccer? uncivilized!!
I guess my main point is its funny how things can change around and how our perspective of fighters can change over time....
The world is round and it can tilt anytime againts you.
Pacquiao will eventually go down to the sewer too.....everyone!!
Nothing is forever.
