I think the secret of some successful Filipino boxers was due to the muscle building of calf and ability to fight southpaw. If you have a strong base in the floor, you have a tons of ability to move dynamically. Being southpaw also, hard to get hit. Some right hand fighter can't deal with southpaw stand.

His footwork has got better, not a lot better, but better. Its the right hand and his counter punching that has got better. His right hand is almost as big of a weapon as his left. The other thing is his stamina. Not worrying about cutting down weight has improved his stamina.

Level of opposition? Who in the welterweight division can dominate clottey and margarito the way Pac did? Without losing a round? Yes no one. Floyd if active wouldnt lose a round but not as dominant. I dont see him destroying both. So the level of pacs opponent still pretty good. Sergio would lose few rounds against both. If he lost 2 rounds against unproven Dzinziruk Clottey and Marg would win a few.
