Didn't Briggs price himself out of the Wilder fight? He wanted 2-3 mil but they were only willing to pay him about 500k, still a decent paycheck for someone who hasn't fought anyone of note since getting demolished by Vitali. 10th round knockout? What fight was this writer watching? Could've sworn Briggs blasted that bum out in the very first round.
Smith should go back to fighting zoo keepers and bar brawlers, he doesn't deserve any more big money fights and he isn't on a world class level. Brook beats him by lopsided decision. Smith is a tough guy with a ton of heart and it'll be hard for anyone to stop him, He can still be outboxed though.
I think Klitschko is confident. Nervous, maybe. But I think he genuinely believes he's going to win.
To be fair he has some things on his side; such as the unknown of how AJ will handle by far the biggest event of his career, by far the best opponent of his career, and I think the respectful build-up has worked in Klitschko's favour too. I don't think he is comfortable with trash talk or when the opponent 'gets in his face' - see Haye, Fury & Chisora (wasn't even fighting him!). I think Fury totally confused him with both his bizarre personality first & then his unusual style in the ring. No chance of AJ winning any mind games here, doesn't seem to be his style. I see this as close to a 50/50 fight. WK is being written off too easily IMO.
Having said the above & my belief Klitschko that is a very live dog, my prediction was and remains an AJ KO win, but I'm far from certain. Massively looking forward to being there! :boxing:
Lol Klitschko is AJ'S best opponent by far? You obviously never heard of Kevin Johnson! That's Joshua's best win on his resume!!
Brook will be the perfect opponent to expose Spence's poor defense. Guy has no lateral movement, no head movement and gets hit way too often. Spence can affford to do that against bums who can't even pop a bubble with a Katana, but against someone with respectable power like Brook, Spence will be punished if he comes out like he usually does.
Eric Molina is in much better shape this time around. He's been working hard lately and this should be a good fight while it lasts. Molina will keep coming at you until you put his lights out.
No way in hell Stiverne is winning this fight. He got dropped and barley beat an unknown journeyman in his last fight. Povetkin might not ko him cause Stiverne is one tough mofo but he's likely going to win a very easy decision and a knovkdown or two won't suprise me.
I remember how much hype prescott had after knocking out Khan. It's so sad now seeing him like this. A low level gatekeeper getting beaten on by fringe contenders.
I want DeGale to pull this off, dude is funny as hell. He just needs to stay consistent, guy looks like an A tier fighter in some rounds and goes down to C tier in other rounds.
If you want to talk about Joes look at Kells resume..
Skill wise Spence is superior.
Brook's resume isn't that good either honestly. His best win was against Porter though who can arguably destroy everyone Spence has fought thus far.
