In three simple paragraphs, I showed that you're entire statement was largely utter ****. try to spin it if you want
You actually have man love. I get it. My bad. I actually respect your lifestyle choice. It's cool and I'm so glad that you are getting equal rights.
Not towards anyone in particular but I'm seeing some insanity here.
Ward does not sell. Simple and plain. He's an amazing fighter. He was not favored in the Super 6 and basically shut out everyone. That changes nothing. Getting 10k in Oakland when before Steph Curry, there was NOTHING in Oakland but the losing Raiders. That same place sells out with a guess of 18k every home game for the Warriors.
He's not fan friendly. Not his fault but that's real ****.
As for GGG running from him, when was the last time Ward saw 168? 3 years ago. Let's stop with the silly isht. It's a great fantasy fight and if GGG had something to gain (Supermiddle belt) it's fantastic but as soon as Ward came back from his exile, he was what, 172? He will nor could see 168 and you can't duck a person bigger than you. Sorry, doesn't work that way.
GGG sold out the Forum and Stub Hub he had the biggest crowd for a boxing match ever and that includes Marquez/Vasquez III. Maybe I'm wrong but Mexicans and not Russians rule SoCal boxing. Still he had them add extra seats which has never happened before.
Ward is a Lt Heavy. GGG is a middle. Get over it. BOth are great fighters and that coward isht from some of ya'll is comedy. Keyboard heroes? Ok.

i live in walking distance about 10 minutes away from the forum,
Yeah? Dope. I live where I live during the crazy times of the riots in the Watergate hood. NO, I'm no banger and never was but Inglewood is my birth place. Got a lot of love for it.
-Gennady Golovkin is from Kazakhstan, though moved to Germany to start his pro career (where he stayed for 8 years), before bringing his entire family over and settling in Los Angeles for the last two year, where he's likely to keep his family for the foreseeable future; where you got Russia from is beyond me.
-Showtime was for sure behind Andre Ward, but they were also a channel only available in 18m homes by 2011, compared to the 28m homes that had HBO in 2011 (and the 36m homes that have HBO as of July 2015).

-Terrence Crawford does put more people in his building than Ward does, but his last fight was priced $27/$52/$77/$127, likely doing less than half the gate business that Ward has done in Oakland.
context is key
Potentially this is one of the saddest posts I've ever seen in my 40+ years dealing with this game. You are so desperate to make Ward relevant that you went to the amount of homes that HBO has. You truly need to get laid. 18 million homes without 13k in Oakland mean 1x on google still makes you LOL!
HAHAAHAHAH! Scipipedia. You have pseudo answers for everything except that the FACT is Crawford got more butts in seats, has a bigger following and now is going to be the player of African American fighters without doing anything but be exciting and not retire for 3 years.
You can google anything you want but it changes nothing and like I said, did I say anything untrue? Nope.
As for the petty Russia thing, I said Kazakhstan but I guess you didn't google that.
Ringside tickets for under $150 simply puts things in context (no different than Canelo putting 40k people into the building with $20 tickets); ignore that if you want.
Crawford sold out his hometown twice, yet Top Rank only felt confident enough to put him in the small room at MSG
Oh BTW, ringside seats at Stub Hub have NEVER been 150. Just saying. I've been to too many fights there including that one and I was not ringside and it was 150 above the apron.
Crawford did sell out twice at home. Did Andre? No. How many times did they put Andre in any room at MSG? My bad, he doesn't like to leave Cali for the most part and New York is scary.
Just admit you love him.
Boxing reporter is a dream job, good luck man.
Just try and report on boxing and not the stupid drama that reporters tend to report on.
remember its a sport not a sop opera.
Dream job? I have a few friends who are legit names. One lives with his mom. One is so hated he ran away from LA to become an actor (Gabe Montoya... and he's no longer a friend and actually I'd beat his ass too) which nobody does. The others all have second jobs.
It's a tough hustle and just because you interview someone doesn't mean you can write.
Oh and how do you get NO rating for a boxing match? Oh, because you are so stupid that you lose a great promoter (passing) and then sue and end up on BET. That's like Peyton Manning ending up on the HSN for a Charger game.
He will go down potentially as a great fighter but so? Nobody will care. He's basically a walking Woody Allen movie. Nobody but the hardcore fanbase cares and even they will wait until he's on video.
note: StubHub(with additional seats) likely amounted to 9k tickets sold (with everyone pushing Golovkin as a faux Mexican scrapper, for whatever reason); in case you were looking for a number.
Oracle Arena likely seat 20k-21k people for a full house, with 11k-12k to fill the lower bowl, and the numbers for the fight, as they've done for every other Ward fight will continue to trek up over the next two weeks, likely putting another 10k into his building (figures that he was able to do for the Kessler, Dawson, and Smith fights).
At least Golovkin has proven that an incessant marketing push on TV actually will help a fighter grow an audience, regardless of whom they're actually fighting.
You are not understanding (or maybe you choose not to) that he's from Russia and don't get it twisted, Showtime was all over Ward. He's not only from America but from Oakland. The reason there is no more of a push for Ward is he sued and lost to his promoter and has been out of the game for the most part of three years.
10k at home? Crawford is from Nebraska is pulls more and he never won the Super 6.
Tell me one thing I said that is not true?
Ward sold tickets? Damn, I missed that. I will say he's great but the book is not written. He chose to lose 2 years plus of his prime and that will speak volumes. What he does from here on out, we'll see. He still has potential.
Ward has the fan base of a USC basketball fan. They exist and are in the tourney but nobody cares. He's a great fighter and if he beats Kov, he might get some more butts in seats. Still, even if he does, he's kinda a Winky Wight. Nobody but you cares.
SRL was a beast when he wasn't letting his amateur coach touch his pee pee. With that said, he chose to damn near lose an eye to a beast like Hearns who would KO Mayweather in 4 at most. I have to give him his dap.
Excessive clinching. Diva behavior. Disloyal. People who pretend to be a fan for the sake of trolling.
A fighter not fighting is a pretty big negative no? :dunno:
Wish they had a "like" button for this.
Even though the streets are bumpy, lights burned out
Dope fiends die with a pipe in their mouths
Old school buddies not doing it right
Every day it's the same
And it's the same every night
I wouldn't shoot you bro but I'd shoot that fool
If he played me close and tried to test my cool
Every day I wonder just how I'll die
Only thing I know is how to survive
There's only one rule in the real world
And that's to take care of you, only you and yours
Keep dealing with the hard times day after day
Might deal me some dope but then crime don't pay
Black man tried to break into my house again
Thought he got off early doing time in the pen
Even though my brothers do me just like that
I get a lot of love so I'm giving it back to the
I have no idea WTF that means but where are you in Inglewood? I was born at Daniel Freeman and lived off 116th place just off Crenshaw and Imperial.
Golovkin is fighting in a foreign market and is bigger than a guy in his backyard. It was a papered crowd but with local fans. Not a papered crowd in ac or vegas where people just happen to be in town. theres a difference. GGG Wade will have at least 5,000 more people in attendance than ward barrera and ward barrera will have several thousand more give aways
Don't speak logic to him. He's basing things off of analytics (anal>lytics). Who looks for prices of tickets unless they are obsessed.
You and I and most "normal" people know he's from a foreign country (though I said Kazakhstan initially, he quotes conveniently the Russia post...because he's odd) and that automatically means you are not going to have a "HOME" audience unless you are Mexican in the western U.S. but he won't let a fact get in the way of a solid lie.
I'm amazed that he's not raped here. It's rare I see someone so simple quoting people so often as if he makes sense?

i live in walking distance about 10 minutes away from the forum,
Unless Short says Bieettttcccchhhh, I just hear the beat. I'm a Paris and Hieroglyphics fan of the No Cal hip hop scene.
What I'm learning about Boxing scene is that Ward/GGG matters though neither guy has EVER FOUGHT in the other's division while both were pros. Ward last weighed 160 in April of 2006. GGG debuted a month later.
That Ward has nuthuggers but yet nobody goes to his fights.
That both sides don't even realize both fighters are really effing good.
Many of y'all are batisht crazy.
That's your opinion. A lot of people hold Ward in high regards. He's the P4P #1 in the entire sport. People still watch him in person or on TV.
I called him top 3 so is that disrespect? As for people watching him... really? No.
No worries!!

Wait? Is this who i think it is?
Dude you a seriously butthurt! Do you usually catch feelings like this over someone who doesn't know you?
Andre Ward couldn't get 10K into Oracle if Steph Curry was shooting 3's and giving away money!
Attendance for GGG's last 4 fights
GGG-Rubio at StubHub (with additional seats)- Sold out.
GGG-Monroe at The Forum - 12,372 out of 17,000 seats
GGG-Lemieux at MSG - Sold Out.
GGG-Wade - 20% of 17,000 is 3400. So by your calculation 13,600 tix have been sold with a little over a month to go. I'm betting on another sell out.
Ward is fighting in his own backyard and only 7,000 have bought tickets to see him? If you can't even sell out at home than it's safe to assume that you draw garbage crowds.
Start crying if you still think I'm being disrespectful
Usually when you are at home you sell out. Too Short got this. I never knew Kazakhstan was So Cal and NY?
Just the whole thought that one of the top 3 boxers in the world has to have someone justify his numbers show how much anyone gives a isht?
Basically you have Borat and Ward in the same state and they draw the same. Kinda sad. Andre Rigendeoux.
Your kidding right? He beat lomachenko and has been fighting top fighters in his last 4 fights and only lost 1.
Oh, my bad. He's been struggling like a champ in those fights. Roman is more shot than a Kennedy and he went 0-1-1 vs him. If you don't think Roman is a mess, cool. That's on you. Nobody who has a clue think's he had legs for the last 3 years.
As for Vargas... meh. Dude is aight. Seriously, at 31 he's the new Salido. Durable but limited.
What's funny is you said he only lost one. He also only won 1 out of 4.
