Thinking about being a boxing reporter

Since i have access to the prize fight gym..thinking i may start interviewing the fighters there and posting here. Got Golden Gloves this weekend so it will be some interesting footage i guess...Gotta start from somewhere You're too biased, you'll fit right in.

What you need is a gimmick that separates you from the others...like at the end of every interview you start selling whoever on insurance until he walks away leaving you standing there...like ali g when his interviewees walk off camera...and then you ask...is because i'm black? You'd probably build a big following and end up with your own hbo show...the larry xxx show. lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just attach yourself to a gym with at least 2 or 3 relevant fighters and start from there. Get a nice intro like DBN has and you're set.

check out IFL TV on YouTube, kugan has built a rapport with almost all UK fighters by importantly remaining impartial and getting on board with interviewing the promoters. granted you might not get access to the likes of arum and dlh the way IFL get half hour regular interviews with the likes of hearn and warren, but check out their style.

Boxing reporter is a dream job, good luck man. Just try and report on boxing and not the stupid drama that reporters tend to report on. remember its a sport not a sop opera. Dream job? I have a few friends who are legit names. One lives with his mom. One is so hated he ran away from LA to become an actor (Gabe Montoya... and he's no longer a friend and actually I'd beat his ass too) which nobody does. The others all have second jobs. It's a tough hustle and just because you interview someone doesn't mean you can write.

You could start by reporting in these gyms down South. Like Keith Thurman said, he didn't go silent, just no reporters ever come to Florida to ask him questions. Wilder too.
