Well yeah....I can make exceptions for that.
Speaking of rumor has it Rod Salka really looks up to Sutherland and has incorporated some of Brian's style into his own.
Would love to see Rob Salsa sporting a mullet.
Seriously, wtf. His entire style, stance, and even right down to his grunt was 100% emulating Broner. What's up with all these dipsh*ts trying to be another man? That sh*t is gay as f**k.
I ain't gonna lie it'd be great if someone tried to emulate the greatness that was B-Suth :boxing:
lmfaoooo homeboy from espn (the studio dude) clowning on Rod Salka bwahahahaha
he said "he's certainly not a household name...heck he's probably not even a household name in his own house".
lmao wow
Great speech by Teddy. Better be careful, though...might end up buried under the 50-yard line at Giants Stadium. lol
:lol1: :lol1:
The kid already has impressive wins on his resume for a young age
With wins against cotto lara trout angulo kirland does beating ggg make him one of the best mexicans ever? P4P fighter? What you opion what does it do for his career
It would be a huge win no doubt. It will definitely increase his popularity even further considering the support behind GGG and the aura of invincibility that surrounds him.
From a boxing stand point it would only further legitimatize his status as an elite fighter and without a truly dominant fighter, put him up at least for consideration as a top P4P fighter.
You don't have to answer all of them but feel free to and also add some other controversies if you can think of any. Simple answers....
1. Ali-Liston II
Legit win or phantom punch?
Or other?
2. Pryor-Arguello I
Legit win or illegal drinking substance?
Or other?
3. Margarito-Cotto I
Legit win or loaded hand wraps?
Or other?
4. Wilder-Scott
Legit win or a dive?
Or other?
5. Tunney-Dempsey II
Legit win or long count?
Or other?
1. Phantom punch.
2. Illegal drinking substance.
3. Legit...just don't see enough evidence.
4. Clear dive.
No body says he is a top fighter, he is a good fighter.
He turned over to boxing in his 20s with 0 amateur and won a World title in just 20 fights without a 50 fight apprenticeship guys like Rios needed who have boxed as kids. Thats an incredible achievement.
Yeah, he's no where near elite but he's definitely a good fighter. He looked good against Khan in a very competitive fight against a top fighter.
Also Op discrediting a fighter for being dropped is fvcking idiotic, specially when it's against Pac and Ruslan.
Azz-tekas :lol1:
Estrada fanboy, con orgullo!
Better than a Piss Drinking, PED abusing Hulkez or Ginger jock rider like Dine-on-Meat-uh03
;)
:lol1::lol1:
Keep ducking that Chocolatito rematch Gallito...
Another pointless fight for Gonzalez. Too many potential great fight that can be made for him to keep fighting Gallitos leftovers.
Ruenroeng and Estrada are the only flyweights the "p4p king" should be considering for 2016.
Man where would Bradley be without that gift he received in the first fight? He's potentially getting two pointless rematches and had a PPV fight with Marquez out of it.
Yeah, he should probably just retire instead of fighting great champions and still top ranked guys like Viloria and Segura, while waiting for the negotiations to fight Estrada etc again.
I mean, if you're got to take stay busy fights while management and promoters work out the bigger fights over time, why would you ever fight top ranked, former P4P level champions?
Should just give it in...the ****ing bum.
Glad you agree with me...green k sent.
You think a GGG fight would be bigger than Canelo/Mayweather or Canelo/Cotto money wise for the ginger? I don't.
It definitely won't generate anywhere near those two fights, but Canelo might walk away with something similar in profits as he has all the leverage in this fight.
Being the mandatory is leverage to getting this fight signed. I don't understand what the problem is. Canelo is going to be the biggest money fight he'll ever have and it'll be against a top 10 fighter if it can get made.
Oscar wanted no part of Lara or Trout either. Canelo ultimately decides who he fights.
You're not saying anything new here, how far fetched that a promoter would rather have his biggest star take on low-risk fights rather than facing the boogeyman.
I like a Frampton/LSC fight would actually be a great match up on paper.
A pressure fighter against a crafty boxer
I wouldn't be surprised if Leo beats Frampton. Frampton struggled to land anything significant all night.

Cotto is a great of this era. He still has some fight in him, so his career is not finished just yet. And he already is a 1st ballot hall of famer, no matter how jilted fans want to say otherwise. His peers and industry journalists have already made that distinction, and they are the ones who will cast that vote when it comes up.
And since when has survival been a bad attribute in a fighter? The term, live to fight another day, doesn't seem to have a place among the young knuckleheads these days. They'd rather a guy die in the ring, or get permanently damaged, instead of back peddling or clinching when necessary? Comments from those are pretty much a given that they have never been in the ring, or any form of combat sanctioned or street. Those are the real cowards, criticizing a person that actually lives and bleeds for the sport we love. They ain't real fans.
Cotto is definitely one of the best of his era but he's never accomplished anything close that resembles greatness. A good fighter who always gave us entertaining fights.
I would not be complaining if it was Wlad, Kovalev or Ward.
So how exactly is Kovalev a better choice than Gonzalez? His only two wins are against a 50 year old fighter and an above average Pacal. People praise him because he passes the eye test as well, but he's no more deserving than Roman.
