The kid already has impressive wins on his resume for a young age
With wins against cotto lara trout angulo kirland does beating ggg make him one of the best mexicans ever? P4P fighter? What you opion what does it do for his career
That would be huge. It would make him the best MW in the world and be the best win of his career. I can't say it makes him HOF or ATG or anything, but I'd sure remember him. And if he's good enough to beat Golovkin, he's good enough to beat a lot of fighters.
Beating GGG is a bigger win than beating Mayweather real boxing fans know this, this is why your goddess avoided him even when GGG was willing to meet all of your frauds demands.
Boy stop.........lol
It really legitimizes him as one of the top fighters it the sport and puts him pretty far up on P4P consideration. It would also go along ways in putting the Mayweather debacle very much in his rear view mirror.
Add some titles to his resume...GGG as a name isnt really huge to be honest as he has not really beaten anyone..

IMO itd make him the true lineal champ but thats it. Greatest Mexican fighter of all time is a bit of a stretch though but itd be a good win for Mexico considering most "good" Mexicans fight at a lower weight class.
To real boxing fans it further cements Nelo as a top fighter in boxing today. To others It does absolutely nothing. The people who already hate him will continue to bash his win. They'll say GGG was a fraud etc.
The same would happen if GGG won by the way.
Some People already have preconceived notions about these guys.
A lot to legitimize Canelo's status. You allude to a good point - Canelo has a lot of good "wins" on his resume, but is not highly rated in P4P ratings. His wins are controversial, he rarely beats anyone soundly. Hell, even the wide scores from the Cotto fight have come under assault.
Canelo could very easily be 44-3 right now.
Golovkin has an aura of invincibility around him unlike any other fighter today - nobody is even close. Not Kovalev, not Fury, not Ward, not even Gonzalez is seen as untouchable.
If Canelo beats him, truly beats him, it cements his legacy as a great fighter in my eyes. On the other hand, if Canelo goes down twice but somehow wins on points via a SD, I'll be pretty pissed.

It would be a huge win no doubt. It will definitely increase his popularity even further considering the support behind GGG and the aura of invincibility that surrounds him.
From a boxing stand point it would only further legitimatize his status as an elite fighter and without a truly dominant fighter, put him up at least for consideration as a top P4P fighter.
