If I was Cotto I would jump on that. Don't know what the PPV numbers would do but given Mikey has an undefeated record and has some notoriety. Cotto wouldn't have to worry about a hard hitting 154 pounder and it has the Mexico vs Puerto Rico rivalry element. If he is looking to retire why not?

I watched the fight while on vacation at a bar. There was a line outside and originally the cover was $10 but when they saw the demand it went up to $20 for standing room only . Alot of non-Irish (white) people where rooting for Connor as expected but the tension in that place was getting a little out of hand when Floyd started taking over. Alot of drunk white dudes started getting really angry. A few got kicked out.

He basically said he wanted to be ko'd and that the UFC would have allowed him to continue. But....if that was the case why didn't he let himself get submitted to unconsciousness instead of tapping out in his losses? Shouldn't he let himself get choked until he passed out? He should thank the ref

After that article on ESPN where he states that his fight with Canelo might be his last one or was it just blown out of proportion? Canelo is talking tough and predicting a KO but GGG talking about possibly not fighting after this fight.

Do you think Kovalev would have received credit if after he dropped Ward he finished the fight with consecutive beltline/below the belt shots? Would Ward fans have accepted the loss?

Kind of sad. Ward fans are on the defense trying to justify a debatable win by posting partial gif's of the fight and redefining what is on the belt vs borderline. Just take the W and be thankful your guy won. The truth is after Kovalev got rocked with the right hand he wobbled but he still threw a punch right after. It was the consecutive low blows that kept Kovalev from throwing back causing a premature stoppage by the ref. No need to defend or show clips of the fight in your favor. Looks petty

Reason why memo couldn't get away with his cheating tactics with Chavez Jr was because VADA testing was involved for the Canelo fight.

Watching Antoine Douglas get rocked and ultimately stopped by Khursidze had me thinking what was the cause of his demise. Was it bad match making or was the kid not ready to step up? I guess they thought Douglas would easily outbox him but the pressure and power proved too much for the kid. Its a shame cuz that beat down could permanently affect a fighter.

Boxing is a brutal sport and has its share of devastating ko's. I don't watch kickboxing much or MMA but when a guy gets kicked in the face the ko looks so much more vicious.

As the usual with PBC cards, we get a whole bunch of mismatches hoping that Haymon can at some point provide us with a decent match up like Santa Cruz vs Mares. Meanwhile who oversees the matchmaking in Toronto? Why was Vivian Harris even allowed to fight? Harris is old in boxing standards and is 3-6-1 in his last 10 fights and was stopped 5 times out of those six loses. Not only that but his last ko loss happened in Toronto. How is he allowed to fight an undefeated prospect on prime time tv?

How can he not rule both of those kd's for Kovalev and call them a push? His reffing has not been good since the Floyd vs Maidana 2.

I mean he was all about it then he gets injured in the biggest fight of his life after having so much faith that God was going to deliver Floyd instead Pac ends up with a bad injury and one of his worst performance in the biggest stage ever

Nobody is even thinking about the Canelo fight right now. Why didn't Oscar just move this to June? At least the buzz would have simmered from the big fight by then. Canelo vs Kirkland deserves a little more attention. I know Kirkland is on a long layoff but depending on what kind of shape he's in, we can expect him to fight till the end, (no Ann Wolfe though)

With a big fight looming, how do fighters prevent from catching the flu or some other sickness that can be passed? You would think extra precautions are taken, during training camp but I never heard anything like that. Do they?
