Bag a room with a view for royal wedding
Next year's royal wedding will turn the world's spotlight on London - but if you want to go to the capital for April 29 you'll need to book your hotel now.
Rooms are being snapped up fast as hoteliers report a surge of interest from the US, Japan, Canada and Australia as well as the UK.
Alison Couper from Hotels.com, said: "There is a huge amount of interest in the royal wedding and this has been reflected in the amount of enquiries our site is receiving about hotel accommodation in London at that time. "Demand is extremely high." Many of the hotels nearest Westminster Abbey are already full but we've uncovered some places where you can still find a bed for the night in the centre of town.
Asking for a doctor? And as the ring and regarded true HW champion to come in second and that the fight take place in a 60/80 thousand seat german stadium rather than a 20,000 UK one is 'unreasonable' demands?
Lets be serious here chaps.
Wembley is 90,000. Anyway Haye should be top of the UK advertising Wlad Germany etc, and i am sure Haye doesnt care if he comes out first he did the same at the Enzo fight. Just get it signed we dont really care about this sort of thing.
I don't think Haye can sell out Wembley. I think a heavyweight title unification fight involving a popular British fighter can.
If its at Wembley i will go.
ye right because me and all my friends are invited to the wedding but there no room to stay at buckhingham palace so were gonna just check into an ibis or something...
Thats not what i mean, people will go up to watch it on the streets trust me, it was the same for Diana and that rubbish. But the real point i was making is that it will overshadow the event.
how would all the hotels be sold out???i doubt just any1 can go 2 d royal wedding
people go up and watch it, they have big screens plus there will be people watching the drive past etc, it will be the big headline story and media from around the world are gonna be staying. Not that im intrested im in Amsterdam that weekend.
Although Arreola can go 12 rounds ok, there is no way that fat does him any good. The guy used to be a Light Heavyweight and its lose fat not muscle. If he was in the 220lb mark he would have even better stamina and speed, as long as he takes the fat off in a healthy manner there is no reason why it would cause him any trouble.
I cant think of any athlete who has been better after they have put lots fat on?
He is looking a bit better now but still plenty of work to do imo.
How does he not help the image? The only boxing star bigger than Haye in this country is Amir Khan, and i bet Khans PPV numbers dont come close to matching Hayes.
He hardly helps as he does completely the opposite of what he says, he makes a joke of a fight against Harrison (there were loads of people on his own facebook page moaning at him for that) gets into trouble with the media over stupid comments he makes, hardly ever fights, refuses to fight a dangerous opponent, puts on a dreadfully boring performance against Valuev, Keeps going on about retirement, Keeps saying that UFC cards give better value for money than boxing cards, is disrespectful to the Klitscko brothers despite having no resume of his own to backup those claims, Brings out two stupid fanazines that are a total rip.
Need i go on, he maybe be popular but he could be doing much more for the sport than he does, the guy only cares about money plain and simple.
Personally i thought Lee Westwood was a worthy winner, but yeah Jessica Ennis would have been good.
I just dont see what the problem with Haye not bothering is, BBC do nothing for boxing and havent for a very long time.
BBC does nothing for boxing but guys like Haye dont help the image of the sport in this country.
The ironic thing is that Haye has more personality than the rest of them put together.
It should be called Sports person of the year, Haye deserved such a low vote for fighting Ruiz and Harrison.
I agree. His terrible cardio-- huffing and puffing after the first 3 rounds is an absolute joy to watch!! OMG, and running away from a 45-year-old man, is there anything more exciting than that???? If you look in the dictionary under the word "WARRIOR" you will see a picture of Pascal turning off his alarm clock and saying "f*** road work, look at my muscles I don't need no stinkin' road work..."
Pascal is hands down the most exciting fighter in the sport today.
Great post. Green K sent.
Did you even watch Pascal vs Froch that was a great fight, you need to calm it down a bit man.
I must have watched something different then. I thought all these fights were really good to watch. People are way to hard to please.
Pascal vs Froch
Pascal vs Diaconu 1 and 2
Pascal vs Dawson
If Haye had won that means people like Danny Williams and Rogan should have been nominated. Hasn’t McCoy won something like 3,000 horse races that isn’t bad plus its a dangerous game, not sure about including darts. TBH British sport this year sucked at least Frank Williams won an award.
wow people go so overboard on this sort of thing, i mean yes he was dissapointing but he was not utterly terrible and Hopkins although old is a good fighter. I think he could do with a new trainer or someone else to help him out i mean why was the corner asking him to focus on defence constantly until the last few rounds? He needs to sort his stamina out, a fight like this could do him good to be honest.
I think Brit's are a little tired of giving it to boxers, Calzaghe and Hatton etc.
Pretty shoddy year though. 1st and 2nd, were to a darts player, and a horse jockey.
Fuck that, neither are sports imo, both crap personalities, and the jockey was in controversy over fraudulent betting etc.
Beckhams in his 30's, not even middle aged or retired, and he's been given a lifetime achievement award or whatever.
Surely there were guys in they're 70's giving to sport all they're lives about to drop they're clogs, that coulda got that.
Beckham can have it in twenty years, heck even a few at this rate.
Sports Personality of the years makes no sense, pile of wank if you ask me.
They should have given the lifetime achievement award to Frank Williams instead of Beckham.
The blind, children, racists, etc.
lol but although Bhop clearly won more rounds the 2 knockdowns made it really close plus there were some close rounds.
Didnt he say to Hopkins that he clearly won? lol, as a interviewer except in extreme circumstances you should not put your own personal view accross. He clearly seemed annoyed that Bhop didnt win, and was having a dig at Pascal for the first knockdown.
if you scored that fight a draw stop watching boxing right now. you dont even know what you're watching. All the experts had it 114-112 hopkins.
Its half bhops fault for 2 reasons.
1. He chose to fight in canada where they rob americans
2. he did get knocked down twice legitly, he should've respected pascals power more
didnt Tarver score the fight for Pascal? although i dont think he won.
The two knockdowns made the fight alot closer but I still think B-hop should have got the nod, as he just dominated cleaarly to me. When I score these fights, I'm looking at ring leadership, clean punches landed, the agressor, and the one pressing for the action which was B-hop. I just cannot see the logic in a draw, as Pascal didn't do anything apart from the first 3 rounds, the fight was a clear shut-out from then on.
For me, it was a clear win for B-hop, that's coming from a guy that cant stand the mans style of fighting. I felt really bad for him for last night, I was actually mad at his expense... I know Pascal was fighting on home turf, this always favours the home-town fighter of course, but you cant take a legit win from a fighter.
If this fight was in the MGM, you'd have a good idea how this fight would have been scored - A Win for B-hop.
I thought there were a few close rounds but as i say i did have Hopkins clearly winning more rounds and the rounds Bhop won he dominated in. I tend to score close rounds even if there is not much going on, i could double back and then watch each round several times to double make sure i have picked up each landed punch but judges cant do that.
I think Hopkins would win but Dawson has a rematch clause with Pascal so i assume that fight would get made next, both were good watches so i dont mind which one happens next.
