so 4, 5, 8 or 9 couldnt have gone either way? none of them?
you think they were all CLEARLY and OBVIOUSLY won by hopkins, with no chance that pascal won any of them?
100% I do.
if you scored that fight a draw stop watching boxing right now. you dont even know what you're watching. All the experts had it 114-112 hopkins.
Its half bhops fault for 2 reasons.
1. He chose to fight in canada where they rob americans
2. he did get knocked down twice legitly, he should've respected pascals power more
didnt Tarver score the fight for Pascal? although i dont think he won.

I had it a draw as well. I thought it was funny hearing Hopkins whine and complain, did anyone expect him to do anything else? Hopkins had a great performance, but when Hopkins speaks he is no more then a conman.
Tbh i thought the draw was a fair result Hopkins won more rounds but i thought the 2 knockdowns made the fight really close. It was no robbery imo.
I agree the fight was no robbery.
After the way Pascal had knocked down Hopkins, I didn't even bother scoring the fight..... but I do remember several close rounds and for a couple of them I had thought Pascal squeaked the round into his column.
Before the fight, everyone including Hopkins knew that he had to win decisively. He started bad with those knock downs and had to win a lot of those rounds clearly. It wasn't that clearly to me to beat the title holder in his home town.
Did Hopkins win more rounds? Yes but he had to, just to get a draw, let alone a win. Showtime commentators had it very close, even many of those who called it robbery said 114-113 or 114-112. That is not robbery.
It was close and deserves a rematch for sure.
I was quite disappointed in Pascal and his corner. The times that I heard the corner (SHOWTIME NEEDS TO IMPROVE IN THAT AREA) I kept on hearing continue your good defense. Well, how about the offense, corner? Maybe they thought after the KOs that they had enough of a lead that they could coast to a win. Especially since they had a 45 year old guy in front of him who just got knocked down twice. Big mistake if they did.
Either way, Hopkins impressed me the way he came back at that age.
Both Pascal and Hopkins fight awkward but it seemed that Hopkins knew more how to fight against Pascal's awkwardness than the other way around.
I recorded the fight so I will have another look and score it but it didn't look like robbery from my initial viewing.
.
I thought a draw was fair. I mean hopkins clearly won the 6th-12th rounds for me and the first 5 i had pascal winning. so that would give bhop a draw but even if you give bhop one of those first 5 rounds he wins by a point.
dont know why people are calling this a robbery. if you thinks bhop won thats fine but come on now this is in no shape or form a robbery.
Utter nonsense. Hopkins fans act like this was Pacquiao-Margarito or Mayweather-Marquez. Ridiculous.
please tell me one round Pascal won after round 3? He had a 5 point lead after the first three rounds and still lost that fight clear as day. There wasn't a single round after 3 you could give to Pascal. And if so, tell me so I can watch it again.
this fight was a draw! BHOP didnt finish him when he should have and pascal didnt do shyt for the majority of the fight. But, pascal was landing some bombs in plenty of rds to get the nod.
STFU and do it again! It was a good fight and we deserve to get a rematch. WOW! I am really saying that about a hopkins fight! :nonono:
The only way I can see how the judges scored the fight is awarding Pascal with the close rounds even though B-hop just edged them, it's the only way to cover their azz I guess. I've watched hundreds of fights, and I know when a fighter has rightfully won the fight or not. Infact sometimes you don't even need to score a fight, you know who won it, and last night I didn't feel the need to score the fight, as I had no reason to think B-hop didn't win.
Pascal almost had non-existent workrate after the 6'th round, the sheer will of B-hop overwhelmed him for the rest of fight.
Also, I can tell from Pascal's body language how he felt after the decision, he stuttered in the interview when he was first approached.
Clear win for B-hop in my opinion, no doubt in my mind. And like I said before, I can't stand B-hop.
Well I have watched i dont know how many fights over the years but people always have different views on who won, now i think Bhop won most of the rounds but i felt that the 2 kd's made the fight really close.
If it wasnt for that Hopkins would have easily won but i just felt that with those two 10-8 rounds made the fight very close. I dont care to much we wont be able to change each others minds on it and if Bhop had won i wouldnt have said it was unfair but if Pascal won i would have felt a bit for bhop.
Anyways it was a fairly decent fight better than i thought it would be and i doubt Pascal will want a rematch he was dam luck he got those 10-8 rounds.
I thought there were a few close rounds but as i say i did have Hopkins clearly winning more rounds and the rounds Bhop won he dominated in. I tend to score close rounds even if there is not much going on, i could double back and then watch each round several times to double make sure i have picked up each landed punch but judges cant do that.

I don't think I've ever seen a more obvious looser, all in Pascal's face after the fight. He looked like he was awaiting for Hopkins to get the decision. We all admit it was close, but still a clear win for B-Hop.
Hard to look optimistic, when you've clearly lost or been close to losing 10 rounds (why did people automatically give Pascal the 2nd?), 9 of the 10 in a row.
I thought the draw was somewhat of a fair result, but after thinking about it, it's pretty hard to find 3 rounds in addition to the knockdown rounds to give it to Pascal. He was landing the harder shots, but they were few and Hopkins was always controlling the action.
The two knockdowns made the fight alot closer but I still think B-hop should have got the nod, as he just dominated cleaarly to me. When I score these fights, I'm looking at ring leadership, clean punches landed, the agressor, and the one pressing for the action which was B-hop. I just cannot see the logic in a draw, as Pascal didn't do anything apart from the first 3 rounds, the fight was a clear shut-out from then on.
For me, it was a clear win for B-hop, that's coming from a guy that cant stand the mans style of fighting. I felt really bad for him for last night, I was actually mad at his expense... I know Pascal was fighting on home turf, this always favours the home-town fighter of course, but you cant take a legit win from a fighter.
If this fight was in the MGM, you'd have a good idea how this fight would have been scored - A Win for B-hop.

There were four close rounds in that fight. One could argue that Pascal won rounds 12 and round 5. I watched the fight looking to see if there was a robbery. But I think it is kind of ridiculous for anyone to think such a close fight could have been "robbery." Some people are denying the kds. I think that could be borderline bias. But in reality Hopkins came out as the psychological winner because he won most rounds and he put it on a young champion.

i really have no problem with the draw
two KDs and a couple rounds that could have went either way
great reason for a rematch, or like Tua said, a 13th overtime-esque round
