Calzaghe has not technical skills? Well he sure didnt win all those fights with his power in both hands. that guy didnt beat any threats...he beat a lot of older fighters because he was faster then them and more active...never fought a legit opponent

Cotto has great skills. I have no idea how he could be put on this list.

Put it like this...each fighter that I name has the skills to win fights,thats a no brainer. BUt put them in the ring with a technical fighter, thats smart, has control, has a STYLE, proper technique, defense, jab, ring generalship....that whole list will lose. Those fighters arent technical, they just fight..

I wish people would realize cutting of the ring is just as much of an art/skill as putting together the perfect combination Or breaking a fighter down with effect pressure takes as much talent as using a jab to set your offense and control distance. Being skilled means being great at what you do and forcing your opponent to fight your style of fight....atleast that's how I see it.

I mean, Que was right that they wouldn't get as far as they have if they didn't have skills. But even if you are referring to more crude brawlers.....that has still got to be the most pathetic list I've ever seen. Boxingscene would be a better place if they screened their members. This guy probably wouldn't have passed to become a member, but at least make it an option to ban him for being so stupid.

If they had no skills, you wouldn't even know about them because they'd be journeymen with sub 500 records. Fighters do not get to that level without skill. God I love this guy....no homo I was about to post the same exact thing. I can tell most of these guys have never boxed before. If they did then they would understand that it takes a lot of skill to make it to the championship level. Most of those fighters on that list have been at the championship level for years and held multiple titles only for some dumb@ss poster like the TS to post some bullsh!t like that. Also just because someone isn't textbook doesn't mean they aren't skilled. Roy, Ali and others weren't text book as well as countless others but were still skilled as hell. Being skilled means more than being technical and I wish more fans would realize this.

what do you exactly mean with skills? This reminds me of that "pure boxers have always ruled the sports" thread in which a poster starts a topic and has no idea what's the definition of pure boxer (in this case technical skill). Miguel Cotto no skills? I suggest you go play-back some of his fights, and tell me he doesn't have any skills. Cotto is a world class operator.
