All he has is speed, timing and reflexes. He has no impressive skills. His defence is OK but it's employed in a cowardly fashion. Real defensive masters like Roberto Duran could integrate offence to defence and back seamlessly. Floyd can't pull off that type of skill level.

Floyd is very one dimensional, he never adjusts. He's just amazingly good at what he does and has never fought opponents who could take him out of his comfort zone that would force him to try and adjust. Floyd is very, very overrated. Fanboys bang on about Floyd adjusting when he's fought the same way for most of his professional career above lightweight. Floyd does not adjust he just dominates using the same style because it's been good enough for him to conquer the men he has fought in this average era of boxers. Could Floyd have pulled off his amazingly executed one dimensional style vs a Leonard, Hearns or Duran? Those men would have gave him two options >> 1. Die against the ropes, or >> 2. Fight back and show us what you got. Could Floyd fight back if there was no other option? Would he fain injury? Would he quite on his stool? In a fantasy match Obviously. There is versions of Duran Floyd could beat. Unfit prime Duran and old fat Duran. Prime Duran beats any version of Floyd. Lightweight to light Welter Duran absolutely destroys Floyd. Hagler, Moore versions of Duran fvcks up the Floyd who ran from a plodding ginger Mexican. Floyd Mayweather is one of the most overrated Slickster I have ever seen. Duran had a slicker defence because his was employed integrated with his offence, which is much much harder to pull off.

Ken Buchanan was a big strong lightweight so he would have easily competed with today's welters. After watching the vid of Ken boxing great fighters like Duran, Laguna and Ortiz who do you think could maybe beat Ken from this era?
