Your favourite fighters from now till past?

Who is your favourite current fighter? Who was your favourite fighter growing up? Who is your all time favourite home nation fighter? Who is your favourite domestic scene fighter? Who is your all time favourite fighters to watch on film? Who is your GOAT? 1. My favourite current fighter is Kovalev. 2. My favourite fighter growing up was eitherTyson Pea or Benn. I'm going with Benn. 3. Being Scottish My fav home nation fighter is Ken Buchanan. 4. My favourite domestic scene fighter is John Simpson because he's nails and always seems to get robbed in the big fights but still come back strong. He's past it now but still major respected in boxing circles in the UK. A Legend. 5. My all time favourite fighter to watch on film is Roberto Duran. His all round skill level and intensity makes for great viewing. A genius. 6. My GOAT is either Harry Greb, Ray Robinson or Henry Armstrong. Today I'm choosing Hank Armstrong because he gets underrated. An absolute powerhouse of a fighter. The master at forcing his will on opponents no matter how skilled they were. The Barney Ross fight is an absolute classic. A must watch.

You don't have to grow up with boxing to have old timer favs. Just watch them, there's plenty footage. Guys like Duran, Pea and Hearns are levels above Marquez and Pacquiao. Besides those one you mention, who else do you recommend me to see and which fights? Thanks

He had a terrific style, terrific power and beat all the best names in his division at the time and would have become the first man to hold all the belts in a single division, if it wasn't for IBF politics at the time. Brought so much excitement to boxing too. Agreed. Love him or hate him we all wanted to watch him.

Great list. I never took to Naz as a person but loved watching his fights. kovalev arturo gatti / pablo chacon / marco antonio barrera carlos monzon claudio esperante / matias rueda roberto duran carlos monzon, again. GOAT middleweight (i put more than one fighter in some of the options, sorry) It's hard to pick one. Monzon is my GOAT middleweight as well.

I do not have because I didn't grow up with boxing haha. I'm 22 and I fell in love with the sport with Pacquiao vs. Márquez IV (in 2012). You don't have to grow up with boxing to have old timer favs. Just watch them, there's plenty footage. Guys like Duran, Pea and Hearns are levels above Marquez and Pacquiao.

Brilliant lists Do you not have any favs from the past? When you were growing up and before you were born ? Historic boxing is underrated. You should watch some of the older era fighters. I'll give you Michael Spinks. Now that's a technician. I do not have because I didn't grow up with boxing haha. I'm 22 and I fell in love with the sport with Pacquiao vs. Márquez IV (in 2012).

My favorite fighter today is GGG with Kovalev and Canelo close behind. My favorite fighter of the past was Jose Napoles. I never cared what nation a fighter was from and I still don't care about that. It means nothing to me.

I don't have a favorite fighter, but I do enjoy fighters who are more offensive minded. In no particular order the top 10 guys I think are must see TV: Cotto GGG Kovalev Canelo Verdejo Estrada Chocolatito Crawford Pacquiao Kirkland An excellent modern list. I've always loved cotto Do you have any favs from the past. If not you should watch some historic boxing. Even some of the guys on the black and white film are fantastic to watch. Jose Napoles being one.
