Chino will crack that philly shell like a taco shell.
War Maidana!! :boxing:
Ow ofcourse!
At first I wasn't sure if a guy who had 1 fight in 5 years deserved to be number 1, but when I saw him sucker punch a guy who had a draw with Lamont Peterson I knew that he was P4P the best fighter who ever fought.
:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
Awesome, classic pics. You can see his humble beginnings and the hard work he puts in even from back then. It's no surprise he trains like crazy before a fight at the Wildcard gym. The work ethic has long been instilled in him. He deserves all the success that has come his way.
Thanks for these photos. They're timeless.
Thanks guys for this video and translations. I think this shows that despite all the hounding of Pac that he does, JMM has a great deal of respect for Manny.
I don't think any other fighter knows Pac better than JMM and Nacho. If they do have this rubik's cube figured out, then it's gonna be a very, very interesting fight. Here's hoping GBP doesn't match TR's offer. Can't wait for November!
That was a very disappointing showing by Shane. I like the guy, but when he didn't even try to win after the knockdown that was just disrespectful to the fans who paid good money to watch a FIGHT.
After the fight when asked what he was gonna do, he said he'll just take a vacation and "enjoy the fruits of his labor." So "fruits of his labor" is 9 rounds of not trying. What a slap to the fans.
We have Chop Chop telling us the truth of the matter.
Floyd has no firepower that Pac has to fear.
Pac doesn't have to fear the huge counter right like he did from Mosley.
All Pac needs to do is intelligently walk Floyd down with combinations and make the fight dirty like Castillo did.
He'll win on activity alone since he knows Floyd's punches can't faze him.
With Pac's speed, power and stamina, he can rough Floyd up and make Floyd pay anytime Floyd feels like throwing.
As long as Pac ignores Floyd's counter shots and eats 1 to land 3 or 4, he'll win the fight.
^^^^^^^^ THIS.

That's not an excuse. That's a reason. Something that Pacman has to deal with and hopefully do not repeat in the next camp.
The issue of over training was actually brought up even before the fight since Pacman's training camp was going along without the usual distractions. If you follow Pacman's fights you know the difference. No excuses. Just a lesson learned.
From the early rounds it was apparent that Pac didn't have his usual quick footwork to bounce in-and-out to land punches. I recall that during training he did mostly hills and less flats running and it affected his leg conditioning. It's a lesson learned for next time.
no one is underrating gayweather... but if he opens up, he will get caught. once he tastes the power, I don't think he'll want to get hit again and he'll run. all defensive-minded boxers will go into a defensive shell or get on their bike once they get hit by pac.
True. And even if he doesn't open up given the speed, insane angles, and volume of punches Pac throws Floyd will get hit like he's never been hit before. Manny will use his swift footwork to get into position and will fire all night. He will take a punch to give 3 or more, and he will not stop like Mosley did in the 2nd after he caught Floyd. Also, Floyd has always troubles with southpaws; just imagine he'll have a nightmare dealing with Pac. And I agree that he'll most likely get on his bike once he tastes Manny's punches: Pac tends to psychologically break down his opponents.
do i sound like floyd to you?.......
lol what's with the hostility. really curious if you knew since you don't have to be floyd to know.
man, some people need to chill out....
Bro, I think he already is on his way to being severely damaged. The orbital bone and damaged retina may be the detectable damage but the beatings he's taken will produce long term health problems which have yet to surface
Agree with this. As Kellerman pointed out while he was taking a beating from Pac, "The issue at this point is not his eye but his brain. How many clean head shots can one man take?"
I think he should retire for good; he has his health and a family to look after. Robert Garcia was already giving him some salient financial advice on retirement. I hope he heeds those.
I think a Pac-Bradley match up would be interesting. Tim is young, fresh and undefeated. Style-wise, not too sure if it'd generate fireworks. Isn't Bradley known for his headbutting?

take the test Pednard Hopdroid!

Maybe Pascal can work out a deal with Floyd's driver to get some shirts printed. It'll only need some minor alterations. :lol1:
Nice vid. Always refreshing to hear from Larry Merchant. He might at times talk painstakingly slow, but old man's got a ton of boxing wisdom.
Thanks for sharing.
As a Manny fan I have to say this is the gayest thing I have ever seen in my life, do the Philippines still execute gays? Cuz every1 involved making this needs to be arrested and charged with laws against humanity
LOL :lol1:
I don't know if the British commentators are the worst lol. Check out the SkySports broadcast when they couldn't stop yapping during the entrances.
One thing I did learn is that Showtime learned to put on a flashy show from the UFC fights.
I kinda feel bad for Floyd. Losing just one fight means A LOT to him. He's not just fighting Pacquiao, he's fighting a man whose country and that country's hopes, dreams, and prayers are on his shoulders.
Floyd's fighting a guy who will fight every minute and every second for 12 rounds. A guy who will never quit and who will be throwing bombs with insane speed and footwork for every second of every minute. Floyd is going to have to mentally prepare himself because he's fighting an opponent many consider to be unstoppable force.
Floyd not only needs skill but remarkable will to beat Manny Pacquiao. Will he be that immovable object to stop the unstoppable force? Or will he just be another (albeit superb) notch on Pacquiao's resumé?
It will be the era's greatest offense vs. the era's greatest defense.
Right on the dot. As Kellerman said about Pac during the Margarito fight, "Pacquiao's fighting spirit is something to behold."
Great post.
