From the Rope-A-Dope interview. Nate Jones quotes Floyd as saying "I'm gonna have my mind ready and Im gonna defeat him, Im not gonna have me legacy taken away from me. And If I lose to a better man I wanna make sure I wasnt cheated"
Nate goes on to say that he believes from the bottom of his heart that the fight will soon happen. Nate also said Floyd has trained every single day and has stayed in supreme shape.
Nate says that Floyd realizes he is getting older and he understands he needs to fight Pacman soon and within the year. Nate tells a story where Floyd had a dream where he lost and Floyd woke up and went and ran ten miles because he was so emotionally disturbed.

Floyd would twat Cotto in the face so many times it wouldn't be funny, get real.
On topic; let's have it...within the next 12 months, please.
Come on, Floyd has been ducking Cotto for the longest time-- the same way he's ducking Pacquiao now. Floyd will never fight Cotto or Pacquiao because he will never face anyone who has the ability to take the "zero" in his record.
Cotto fought the toughest welterweights in Pacquiao, a prime Mosley, Margarito & Clottey-- getting 2 out of 2 in the process.
What about Floyd? He ducked both Cotto & Margarito. He barely survived round 2 with an ageing Mosley & is childlishly demanding Pacquiao up until now to submit to ridiculous blood tests which are outside of normal requirements.
That's why if ever Floyd is finally forced to fight Pacquiao, he'll lose. Because Floyd has fear up in his head. Unless he first wins the battle inside his mind, he'll never defeat Pacquiao if they meet.

Floyd is a bum
I kinda feel bad for Floyd. Losing just one fight means A LOT to him. He's not just fighting Pacquiao, he's fighting a man whose country and that country's hopes, dreams, and prayers are on his shoulders.
Floyd's fighting a guy who will fight every minute and every second for 12 rounds. A guy who will never quit and who will be throwing bombs with insane speed and footwork for every second of every minute. Floyd is going to have to mentally prepare himself because he's fighting an opponent many consider to be unstoppable force.
Floyd not only needs skill but remarkable will to beat Manny Pacquiao. Will he be that immovable object to stop the unstoppable force? Or will he just be another (albeit superb) notch on Pacquiao's resumé?
It will be the era's greatest offense vs. the era's greatest defense.
Right on the dot. As Kellerman said about Pac during the Margarito fight, "Pacquiao's fighting spirit is something to behold."
Great post.
Anyone that is intelligent can see Floyd cares about the sport and his place in it. Only a$$es and haters see otherwise. Following every quote or gesture with no comprehension. Posting things like he is scared or calling someone that disagrees with them a Flomo. That is ignorance. There are facts, comprehension, reasons, education, understanding, and nothing else. Next time, if you cannot offer anything insightful on the subject, might I pose you :tapedshut. And I would not call you a Flomo, but there are plenty other names for people like yourself. None flattering, so I will keep them to myself. If you have a proper question, post it next time.
Very true again bro!
Sometimes, when a person "is intelligent", we call them "special" just to be politically correct.
Sorry, i have no question, i was agreeing with some of your statements.
Well Floyd, that's why the fight is never going to happen. Manny simply won't agree to the drug testing. Which is A SHAME.
Personally, I did not think they would ever fight after the first negotiation failed.
Yes brother, only fools believes the Mayweathers, especially floyd jr, and they are called here as FLOMOS!
Yes, they are fools...right you are?

That sounds everything like Floyd. It is not nervousness that Floyd feels. His fear is exactly what Nate Jones stated. Floyd fears losing a fight. That is why he trains as much and as hard as he does. His fear is not being prepared or at his best. The man is a perfectionist in the ring. He got hurt by Mosley in the 2 round. Did you see his face at the end of the round? He was embarrassed. He does not fear Manny Pacquaio. He wants Manny Pacquaio randomly tested for PED's because he thinks that will ensure a fair fight. No one puts as much into the sport and not have love for it. Only fools believe Floyd Mayweather Jr. does not care about his legacy or the sport. Only fools. And there are plenty.

That sounds nothing like Floyd, but I hope it is.
He sounds nervous, like he doesn't know if he can win.

That's right floyd, don't let him ruin your legacy. Fight his ass, getting KTFO is better than never fighting him and being labeled a duck for the rest of your life :lol1:

Now that was a bunch of bullsh!t
Mayweather knows a Pac fight would be his biggest challenge, he just wants to make sure that it's a fair fight. Nothing wrong with that.
you are wrong. Flomos think FLoyd will school Pac. Flomos know what FLoyd thinking...Pac aint that good..atleast from FLomos standpoint.
problem with that is that it is Floyd who is going to be sufficiently "softer" through inactivity and ageing. The guy is nearly 35.....he needs to hurry up!
that is why this fight should not happen. if this fight happens, floyd's career is probably over.
Floyd has never wanted to fight a welterweight fighter in their prime. Hes had 5 years to do so, and he hasn't done it a single time.
Floyd Jr: NO WELTERWEIGHTS!
I do believe he wants Pacman
Floyd knows hes got no one else to fight exept Sergio, which hasn't proven to make big PPV numbers
Its like he doesn't care about any boxer other than Pacquiao. In the other hand Pacquiao doesn't need Floyd as much as Floyd needs Pac
Would be nice to see Pac actually knocking out Floyd, that would really silence all his critics and the Floyd fans for good. After everything the Mayweathers have done to Pac and to the sport of boxing, it would be the greatest payback and silencing ever.
no, i wouldn't go that far. just making this fight happen is good enough no matter who wins. if it happens, thank the pac fans and all the logic-minded people all over the world. to be honest, i don't know who would win. but unlike floyd stans i can't be scared for a boxer who i don't even know personally. the fight happening is good for the sport, for the fans and believe it or not for floyd. showing support for a hero by defending pu$$iness is not the right way to do it. that's like defending drug addiction or alcoholism. floyd would just remain a pu$$y. that's not a good thing. hope that helps.
