Dan Rafael: "HBO commentators should STFU during fighter ring entrances"

It was nice to finally see the highlight videos and entrance music uninterrupted. It really felt like you were there. Hopefully HBO took some notes. Dan Rafael (12:45 PM): Could not agree more. I was thrilled by that. In fact, after I watched it on my DVR I was so happy about that I called Todd duBoef from Top Rank to tell him since we had been talking about the ring walks before I left Vegas on Sunday. Great, great job by Showtime to let us see AND hear the ringwalks without interruption. My highest appreciation. HBO should take note big time. I was gonna say, one thing I absolutely HATE with Sky Sports is they talk over the trainers in the corner between rounds. It's so f'n annoying, I wanna hear the trainers not your stupid ass commentary. i get that. i dont think they should talk during that part but ring entrances i could care less if they talk during that. lol Mama Said Knock You Out is 1990. i mean i could still follow it if they did talk during that.

I don't know if the British commentators are the worst lol. Check out the SkySports broadcast when they couldn't stop yapping during the entrances. I was gonna say, one thing I absolutely HATE with Sky Sports is they talk over the trainers in the corner between rounds. THIS. A million times this. Those *******s talking while Manny came into the ring to the Karate Kid theme was super ****ing annoying. HBO, shut up during the entrances pls.

RULE

There were times could have read the United States Constitution in its entirety before Cory Spinks got his ghetto ass into the ring. lol and the dozens of times Prince Hamed came to the ring like his fight with Kelly. dancing behind a curtain like he was trying out for a part in From Dusk Till Dawn as one of the vamp strippers. could of read War & Peace during that one.

In principal it is a good idea, but some of these ring entrances take forever. That's a lot of dead air time. There were times could have read the United States Constitution in its entirety before Cory Spinks got his ghetto ass into the ring.

i dont have a problem with talking during an entrance. they are just walking to the ring with music playing. i dont mind hearing some thought and info when they walk to the ring. i dont mind it when they do it during the UFC ones either. i dont see how it could be that annoying. if that annoys anybody then talking during a fight should in someway. next thing somebody is going to say pre-fight talk is annoying or post-fight interviews lol.

I disagree. I mean, when there's fighter like Gatti or Hopkins.... I'll always remember Lampley go, "FROM JUST DOWN THE ROAD IN PHILADELPHIA", when Hopkins came out against Tarver.

when ring enteraces blow (like 99.97% of them do) I'd rather hear commentary. Cheesy music and entourages do nothing for me.
