He did two half hearted punches vs Pacquiao's full effort left but I think the real difference is that Griffin decided to milk it to the max and left the referee with no choice. Marquez was either milking it as well but then realized Cortez was having nothing of it and sprang back up, or thought the fight was over at that point after being knocked down for the 3rd time.
