Larry was the same way with Roy and Tyson. I think if you're Floyd, Merchant not liking you is an indicator that you are at the top of the sport. Yep, Merchant had a clear disdain for Tyson. Ironically, Tyson had a much more "exciting" fighting style than Manny.

Merchant always had something negative to say to Mayweather in every post fight interview, about pretty much every performance. It wasn't something he had to come out and literally say. Actions speak louder than words and Merchant had already showed over the last decade+ that he does not like Mayweather either as a boxer or person. I'm surprised it took Mayweather than long to snap on Merchant.

We are all boxing fans here I don't know about you but 99% of the fights I watch there is someone I want to win and someone I want to lose. If your commentating boxing hopefully your a fan therefore you have biases the skill of commentary is to not let these affect how you call a fight Lampley is terrible at this giving his fighter the benefit of the doubt, Merchant was no where near as bias as Lampley is and I see no problem in him not liking a fighter.

But if you want to hear what he thinks of a black boxer who actually hits without being hit, listen to him talk about Floyd or Chris Byrd. Byrd is a humble, religious guy who routinely fought dudes who outweighed him by 20 or more lbs. He was as nice a boxer you could ever meet, and was the polar opposite of Floyd's persona. So why did old drunken Larry have such venom when it came to him? And he resented Roy as well.
