This is a good interview, they ask some questions that you normally don't see Jones answer. He answers very dark and blunt about his childhood abuse from his Dad. I already knew this history, but for some people that didn't know here you go.
You still butthurt over when they pressed Floyd to say pacs name lmao
You mad right now Hanz
Take a chill pill
Wtf no I watched a lot of his interviews. He has good ones but can be a huge phaggot
He's pushy and gets personal which can make good interviews but he's a phaggot

Roy Jones Jr: The Sweet Science Documentary
This is the documentary that was made when Jones was P4P King moving up to HW to face John Ruiz. Jones trained too hard to bulk up with Mackie Shilstone. The same trainer that helped bulk up Michael Spinks to fight at HW.
•Jones was getting smashed by his HW sparring partner when he first started sparring.
•Jones was really 200lbs at the initial weigh-in but the Dr. Messed up and weighed him in at 193. Come fight night RJJ was 199lbs when he was re-weighed.
•RJJ being the first man in 100 years to win titles from MW to HW.
•RJJ speaking about his Dad beating him and saying how he didn't have a childhood.
•Ron Borges prediction was so off man lol.
•He made history but he also ruined himself moving back down in weight in that short time frame at that age.
Lebatard is the man. All his interviews are like that, he brings more to a interview than others in ESPN.

Yep, Lebatard is a very smart guy, he and Rome are two of the best interviewers in the biz. Roy Jones' father created a hard, hard man. Threatened his own dad's life, and I bet big Roy believed him. BTW Roy didn't try for KO's later in his career because he had real bad hand problems. His b-ball coach said Roy could barely even dribble a ball sometimes.
i dont know if it's true, but i remember somewhere it being said that roy would bob and weave barbed wires instead of ropes, and during jogs anytime he slowed down his father would whip his ankles, another where his father would tie one of roy's hands behind his back and make him fight much bigger and older kids and tell them to take try and take his head off
Now you know why Roy would put his hands or one hand behind his back
Didn't know Roy was a country boy who grew up feeding pigs and cows.
That's where his whole rooster thing came from.
I'd read all that stuff before but it was weird hearing it directly from Roy.
That was cringing to watch but insightful. Just a very strange interview to dive that deep, a televised therapy session :s
i know, goddamn lol. those 2 were dead-eyed while roy was answering their questions.

Well I heard they asked the typical question questions but felt this was more interesting and intriguing since you never really see that side of Roy.
Yeah I remember reading about the barbed wire thing... nuts... I seems "cruel" but this sort of training makes fight night much easier... Look at how easily Roy handled most of his opposition... Train like a maniac and fight night easy(relatively)... People don't realize how hard you need to train to be a professional fighter... think of how few spots there are at the top... and the guys that get to the top are willing to do ANYTHING to get there...
True Roy definitely was a specimen even today he still is.
He's been using this Gravity Plus suit only a month now and he's the only boxer that can go 12 rounds with it at 46 years of age. Other boxers/athletes can only last 3-4 round.
Check the video with James Foster that designed gravity plus suit. He has had other boxers/athletes such as Tim Bradley etc. The creator James Foster talks about the gravity suit at Roy's press conference here. It's not a youtube link so here's the link to the video. http://www.pnj.com/videos/sports/2015/03/25/70458300/
Check this clip of RJJ talking about it before his last fight.
he was different then tyson he kept them up so he could keep putting on a show he tormented some those guys when he could easily of ended it for them even with just a flurry of shots
Yeah the Richard Hall fight comes to mind
With all that anger, he still carried a lot of boxers to the finish. You'd think he'd be more Mike Tyson with them!

Yeah there are a couple of good HBO segments about his background that might be on youtube. Also I remember being pretty blown away when he revealed he had two kids that the public didn't even know about at the time. They were already like 5ish when HBO did the segment... I doubt he could pull that off in current times.
