I'm pretty sure you're a racist. Can't see any other way for you to have gathered so much hate for our top fighter.
Say what you want about Haye, he is British boxing.
His accomplishments speak for themselves.
No matter how much you hate, that's just how it is.
do you admit vitali better than lennox lewis considering lewis was down 4-2 on all 3 score cards...
I've got nothing but respect for Vitali but...

it is what it is...
fight was one sided early on so how is this the FOTY?
maybe the 10th 11th 12th rounds of the year I guess
Of course, sorry, if a fight is one sided in the early going it can't be a runner for FOTY.
There I was thinking Meldrick Taylor vs Julio Cesar Chavez was an all time great fight as well.

In typical Boxingscene troll fashion, they leap onto a small part of the initial argument and and defend vigorously. 'Not fight of the year'- 'definitely not fight of the year' 'how could this be fight of the year?'
O.K. But it was a great boxing match right? Both fighters showed great courage, heart and skills right? That is the real thrust of the original post.
I completely agree.
The fight was amazing at every point. It was so enjoyable I came onto the forum so that I could also offer my praise, as I imagined the majority of posters would.
What I found of course was the forum teeming with pricks accusing Khan of cheating/running. For every post commenting on the glory of the fight there maybe eight running on agendas.
The whole site is now divided between diehard fans of certain fighters who insecurely attack any other fighter, people who they have never met and who they would say nothing to in person.
Even the main articles on this site are ridiculous 'Khan survives' and 'avoids disaster'. What on earth? How about the fact that it was an incredible FOTY candidate (and surely winner). Just bizarre.
The state of this forum is beyond pathetic. If you can't respect both fighters in a prizefight, you aren't a boxing fan. You are just another troll in the legion of internet trolls.

While Adamek is 49, and both Klitschkos, Wlad and Vitali, are inside the top 20 at 8 and 12 respectively. How do you like that, Gaye fans? :lol1:
More to the point if Haye is the complete non-entity that you claim he is why does his name appear in every second sentence in your posts.
Also I like what you did with the name 'Haye'. You changed the 'H' to a 'G' which actually implies that he is a homosexual.
Yes and I would pay to see it. I'm so glad that Khan won but Maidana impressed me so much. Such a scary little guy, constantly marching forward- like a little Marciano.
he´s just the greatest...hands down
Agreed!
thats class m8
Glad you liked it my man.
Thanks good find, wow, 785 posts in 6 years.
No problems! 'Better to be thought a fool...' I guess! :)
Thanks man. I've never seen that interview...GK for you!
No problems brother- I saw it and knew boxing fans would want to see it.
Having seen many Ali interviews I was very sceptical, I have to say that this is the best interview I have seen though.
Great find, thanks.
No problem! I have also seen many Ali interviews but for me, this one smashed it. I have never seen him so relaxed, the interviewer did a great job.
Very good interview I've seen it before, John Scully posted it in his "everything Ali" thread.
Glad you still enjoyed it and didn't know it had been posted.
The media are drooling over the next great hype job to be murdered by the kloitscko brothers but calming down did he land a clean shot.
Round 1, the "knock down" didnt rock ruiz at all, it was actually hit him in the chest/shoulder area..
Then all the other kncokdowns were rabbitt punches...
the cleanest shots were the 9th, but ruiz wasnt hurt and i thought the corner threw in the towell because ut was his last ever fight, rather than battling on for a points loss..
thoughts???did he ladna clean shot???
Yes, he did.
Bye.
Britain actually has very good race relations in my experience, and particularly in the south. Its difficult to find yourself prejudiced when you are raised on a playground which is hugely diverse in terms of heritage.
There are tribal issues of course, as there are everywhere.
You can find racists anywhere in the world though, and that term is basically synonymous with ignorance.
In my opinion Khan's problem has very little to do with race. I've met a lot of Pakistani guys in Manchester who dislike him because they know him and say he has a history of arrogance, walking up to girls saying 'do you know who I am?', things like this. To his credit, I also spoke to a guy recently who said that he has settled down in recent times.
I was a great fan of Khan during the Olympics, and remain a fan today as he is a British hopeful, and a skilful fighter.
But the way his career was formed, fighting that long series of club fighters, never does anything to endear a fighter to the boxing public.
The fact that he was appearing all over Reebok adverts before he had proved himself at the professional world level, did not endear him to fans of the sport. For these reasons his knockout loss was largely received as both comeuppance and proof of his limitations.
Furthermore, he overplayed the 'hard done by' hand and effectively calling the public racist wasn't going to win him any new fans.
The British public by and large want to see someone taking the challenges, and taking them with grace and courage. That's why guys like Cooper and Bruno, though limited, will be lauded in posterity.
I don't see the reception of Khan being any different if he was white if these facts were to remain the same.
Saying that, his rebound to the world stage is a genuine accomplishment. He has proved his heart and most British boxing fans that I know want him to do well.
I'd like to see him engage with the public more, chin a few big punchers and test himself fully. I want him to go far.
I couldn't give a sh*t what colour his skin is.
You are never really convinced that you will see a dive in your lifetime.
That was a dive. Let's say you give him the benefit of the doubt and agree that his calf was hurt. That was still a dive. He didn't try to get up- that was pathetic, that wasn't the Klitschkos, that wasn't boxing.
Good night guys. What a terrible shame we didn't get to see how vicious Vitali can still be.
I take all of this back! Had no idea the guy tore up his knee.

Great quality. Is anybody else's stream freezing every 20-30 seconds or is the problem on my end? Is there anyway to open it into Windows Media Player?
How likely do you think it is that there will be a good stream for this fight?
I live in Manchester halls with no t.v and don't know of anywhere showing the fight.
The ridiculously overrated Louis was DESTROYED by 190 lbs Schmeling and 184 lbs Marciano. He got knocked down and badly hurt by middleweights, super middleweights, light heavyweights, etc. He was knocked down, badly hurt and almost KO'd by fat midget bum Galento. He got schooled by 174 lbs Conn, if it was a 12 round fight, Louis would've lost a UD to a 174 lbs bum.
Vitali EASILY DESTROYS Louis.
