he fuked him up with the first right shot he landed,
personally this is the KO of the year so far
1.Vitali kos Solis
2.Donaire kos Montiel
3.Rios Kos Acosta
You are never really convinced that you will see a dive in your lifetime.
That was a dive. Let's say you give him the benefit of the doubt and agree that his calf was hurt. That was still a dive. He didn't try to get up- that was pathetic, that wasn't the Klitschkos, that wasn't boxing.
Good night guys. What a terrible shame we didn't get to see how vicious Vitali can still be.
I take all of this back! Had no idea the guy tore up his knee.
Sonny Liston got hit square in the face by Muhammad Ali and many people, to this day, will insist that he took a dive. Odlanier Solis takes a glancing blow to the top of his head from Vitali Klitschko and many people sincerely believe Solis was dazed to the point of falling.
Vitali hits hard, no doubt. But the swipe he took at Solis didn't have the force or impact to seriously affect a fighter of his ability. It didn't even hit Solis in the temple. It was about two inches above that region. Some people seem to believe that a hard fart from Vitali can knock most men down....
Klitschko deserves the win, of course. But KO of the year candidate? Brutal? Nasty? It's an insult to truly brutal KOs, like Hearns-Duran, Pacquiao-Hatton, Martinez-Williams, etc.
It'll go down as one of Vitali's best stoppages. All reports of his demise from age are now discredited. I now fully expect Haye to go the same way in July.
It was a luckiest KO of the year candidate! Vitali looked like **** against Solis until that lucky punch that was folowed by a serious knee injury. Vitali couldnt have even more luck!!!!
It was only the 1st round, who knows what would have happened but man.. poor Solis, nobody deserves that.
to be honest im pretty disapointed how the fight turned, got my laptop connented to the widescreen, a nice glass of wine, was looking for an exciting fight.
dont blame vit though... i mean what can you do?
Look at him when the ref stopped it. He couldn't believe it, he was as pissed as people on here are.

Sorry Dorian but to be a ko of the year it might require a more worthy opponent than Solis. Like Montiel was a champion going in to the Donaire fight.
Solis was a good prospect but the only ranked fighter he had faced going into tonight was a disqualification over Ray Austin. That and he fell down from a non-punch in my opinion.
Knockout of the year candidate, like would it be in the top 5 ko's? I don't think anyone will beat Donaire/Montiel but I think this knockout deserves some respect too. People were saying Vitali doesn't have KO power anymore and he goes in there and cripples a guy with a temple shot.

Yeah he still got knocked out in 1. In that round however, he landed more clean punches than Sam Peter did.
Knocked out?
Sure. Whatever you say. I'll buy buzzed. the Rest was grist around the knees. Ko by cholesterol if you will.
He did well for what? Less than three minutes? The shot landed. His legs also gave. Being 30 over helps knees collapse.
Solis has been a farce waiting to happen since he turned pro with a fat suit covering what was once a talented amateur.
It happened today.
