Prime Manny would hurt Loma, outpoint Spence, but possibly lose a decision to TC.
TC hasn't done anything yet that would make me believe he'll win against a crazy not yet born again prime Pacman.
I agree 2009 Pacman is just on another level he beats both Crawford and Spence, him and Money May are just way too good for the competition. This is 2018 though, Pacquiao is way past his prime but there's still a chance for him to beat both no matter how small that chance might be, I agree with the others though about Manny shouldn't be fighting those young and hungry lions. I really hope for Manny just fight the other guys like Khan, Broner and Horn, the Pacman doesn't need to prove anything anymore he's an ATG and it's not fair for an old legend to fight the best young talents of today. I simply don't want to see the Pacman suffer anymore defeat.
Man fuuck off with that bullshiiit
This is the kind of BS we get with these newb fans after a manny win.
First post and this is what you come up with.
It doesn't make sense for Manny to fight the top guys anymore, he's already an ATG. Just do what Floyd did, fight Conor and make tons of money.
nah his frame is too small. he's not Pacquiao who has a huge frame. big wrists, fists, shoulder width, head size etc.
I see. If you were to guess looking at the top guys in the 126-130 divisions, at what division do you think the Monster gets stopped?
I don't agree with this, Spence is nowhere near a prime Manny who was at the time being avoided like the plague back in his prime. Spence also isn't as big of a name as Pacquiao was back in 09-10, to tell you the truth none of the fighters that both Crawford and Spence beat are on the same level and popularity as those fighters who Pacquiao and Mayweather both beat during their time.
For me the previous generation of Mayweather and Pacquiao were a lot better than the current generation. It was more exciting back then and the quality was also better.
Because he is, Manny is a fighter, for his size he should only be at 135 max. He went beyond that and started beating bigger guys in the welterweight division because that's where the money is. Any win in that division elevates his name in history and any loss wouldn't mean much because Manny is considerably the smaller guy in that division. Even Max Kellerman stated Pound for Pound has a case for being the best.
Pac is in the Mount Rushmore of boxing. If it's so easy to do what he did in the MODERN ERA then why don't I see other fighters doing a 40+ pounds jump across multiple divisions?
Still the same spot he was before the fight. He's 42 years old he really has no business fighting especially after the 2 years + lay off. Fought a much bigger and younger dude and he didn't really train enough to prepare for the replacement opponent.
When an ATG is well past the age of 40 any loss don't really mean much especially fighting in the highest stage.
The fact that he's still fighting is already an achievement.
I believe 50 years from now Manny's achievements especially the whole "Boxing's only 8 division world champion" will attract more of the next generation's attention and it'll resonate better throughout the ages until someone breaks it which is unlikely in our lifetime. The fighting between two sides (fans) might subside as they get older and older but again for the new fans who are interested to learn more about the history of boxing, the name Manny Pacquiao will always be brought up due to him climbing up several weight divisions and winning many wars. They are both special no doubt about it. Looking at boxing right now it'll be hard to see another one who are like one of them within the next 10-20 years.
Because I feel like he is giving too much of a size disadvantage to his opponents and that mainly caused most (not all) of his losses in the WW division. He always dominates when he fights someone close to his size.
Pac is not an 8 division champion. Even calling him a 6 division champ is a joke considering he didn't have the balls to fight at 154.
Your opinion doesn't matter, in the record books it states 8 division. When an announcer announce his name they say "Boxing's only 8 division world champion". Even if we don't consider records, most people still regard him as an 8 division world champion. In the current state of weight classification he is an 8 division world champion.
It's not my opinion. These are ****ing facts. Pac has not held belts in 8 divisions. That's some **** Manny fans made up to pad his resume.
Popular boxing analysts, commentators and various data sources say otherwise. They all claim Pac's 8 is not just a claim but a FACT.
I wholeheartedly agree, one more against someone that is considered good enough. And in his last fight his introduction it should include all of the divisions in which he won a world title, all 8 divisions kinda like what Michael Buffer did back then.
It's fitting for him to retire with a win.
Interesting! I never heard that one before. Why not just do exhibitions at that age then?
Ugas is pushing 40 I wouldn’t consider him young either.
Manny is Manny, he doesn't want to do any exhibitions, that's just the way he is.
Still Ugas is Considerably younger by 7 YEARS, that's a HUGE age difference in the Welterweight division.
Again any ATG fighting over the age of 40 in the high level of this sport, their loss wouldn't be detrimental in their position in boxing history. It's understandable that father time is undefeated and he is clearly not the same Dynamo Pac of the past.
Even if Floyd returns and loses in a professional fight, his loss wouldn't affect his magnificent standing in the ATG list. Same goes for Pac and other greats before them. This is all subjective and this is just my take on this matter.
I really do think the Monster could one day win a world title in the 130-135 division. I mean Pac is around the same height as Inoue and Pac won titles in 8 divisions.
