In his prime no way Tarver, Johnson or any of those guys you mentioned woudl beat Roy.
I agree. The thing that spurred RJJ's downfall was the playing around w/muscle weight. Actually the losing of it. He lost alot of muscle weight in a really short time before Tarver 1. I was liek, this dude looks sick. Still won easily just not the 100% we're all used to seeing.
But anyway, I've done a smidget of research about it and when you lose muscle weight in a short period of time you can suffer nerve damage. Its only obvious this is what happened to Jones reflexes and chin. RJJ always had a chin. It wasnt like he never took shots.
Cant say RJJ ducked anyone either. I remember the pre Virgil Hill when it was said RJJ was running scared. Dude stopped him w/a body shot.
See, theres this thing that people do when they see someone dominate and KO everyone. They start to doubt the fighter when they see anything less than 110%. When Mosely got his 1st lost it was like the networks ran for the hills.
Hells yeah. I was pissed @ Margy for not taking the fight @ 1st, but he redeemed himself.
Shit I thought it was in Atlantic City and was gonna see it. Dam
This is what I mean when I say he's overrated. Trinidad and Mosley both beat Oscar, and are from the same "generation" as him. How can you even debate him being the best instead of these guys. He is no doubt the most popular, but FAR from the best.
Lets get somethng straight....Tito LOST to DLH...we all know that.
Theres alot of discussion on this,so lets settle this, who would win?
I personally think if its in America,Miranda would win over the judges and crowed with his agression and win a UD
Totally agree.
In US...Miranda
In Germany...Abraham
I see Quillin in your list...not many people know him yet so I'm gonna check some of those other names. TIA
Know any where I can find some footage?
I think hes gonna come in heavy as shit on fight night. Hes had problems losing weight and @ the 7-day safety weigh in he need to lose a little less than half of what he had to lose 30 days ago @ that weigh in. Its a problem.
Ricky hasn't been at his best of late, but hopefully he will back for the castillo fight.
Yar...his gameplan changed when he didnt have the hometown ref on the payroll. Hatton was never anything but a UK hype machine that holds and hits and gets away with it cuz of hometown refs. See what happened when the ref was breaking him and Collazo up right? Dude got his ass beat. If that was the UK Collazo would have got TKO'd.
SSM would murdlize Hatton....bwah bwah
I thought DLH nailed PBF hard post Diaz.Freitas. The "brat" comment really shook PBF. I dont mind the shit talking, but PBF isnt good @ it. His delivery is choppy like its rehearsed. He just doesnt do it well.
are they gonna air this?
Prolly a ESPN joint or something. I'm close and been to the RI venues but not sure where the Twin River Event Center is. Doesnt ring any bells.
The guy hes fighting is a bum though. 19-10-2
its good news to me. As a loyal fan that grew up watching Tyson from the late 80's this is good news. Nobody wants to see another SRR story about former great dying in a room w/only a coffee table, chair and a boxing trophy.
Casamayor isnt thrilled about anything. He got stripped for not making his mandatory defense in hopes of unifying it by beating Freitas. Since Freitas got beat and Diaz is the man, naturally Joel wants him.
Casamayor is starving and wont take anything but big fights now. He knows his time is in its twilight and needs money bad.
Malignaggi has shown improvement in every fight. But N'Dou is a strong guy. Havent seen him in a while actually so its hard to say. Lovemore is getting old though, Pauls got youth on his side.
I take Malignaggi in this one.
I disagree about McGirt. I think hes a disadvantage. Hes got alot of losers on his resume. Always with "Hit him in the chest"...lol. Ya know the saying...."the better fighters are usually not the best trainers and not exactly the best of boxers are the best trainers...
