The Times of India reports that former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is expected to have a pricey stay in India. Tyson will visit the country for an appearance in Ahmed Khan's latest film - Fool and Final. Khan, one of most well known film directors in India, said that obtaining Tyson for the film does not come cheap.
Tyson demanded that an entire floor be booked for him in a five-star hotel for privacy reasons, a private set of security guards, a personal chef and a verbal agreement that he will not be hounded by the Indian media.
“When we signed him for the film, we didn’t realise that it would be so difficult to organise security for him,” Khan said. "He has his own set of security guards and he will come with his solicitor and an interpreter to Mumbai. Also, he is required to keep the US government in the loop about his movements. Not just that, he has many legal cases pending still, so if anything happens to him in India, the US government will be answerable to the courts there. So, his security is of utmost importance."
“He has come to know from his agent that the Indian media is aware of his visit. He wants a verbal assurance that he won’t be chased by the media. I am working with an international celebrity for the first time, and I have realized it’s not too easy to co-ordinate with them, because they are more organized and they want everything sealed and signed."
Mike is expected to be in Mumbai in the first week of May.
