Oh I know. I think he could be competitive at 147 but he would certainly be at a disadvantage over most of the guys.

And Hatton couldn't make 135 without losing a leg.

Has to be said I couldn't see Malignaggi lasting 12 against Hatton. He would get mauled.

When someone is overweight from drinking too much beer, he's not at his natural size or weight. A person's natural weight is his weight when he's in shape. I wish Hatton would lay off the beer, it's hurting his career. He should fight more often and stay in shape all the time. Dude, no way is hatton anywhere near lightweight, without or without the diet, he makes 147 with ease, obviously he cant handle 147 because he isnt a big man boiling down to pick on smaller guys at that weight, but seriously. Anybody who's ever really been in a ring knows how important reach is. Ricky Hatton is the best fighter his own size in the world, and he doesn't need to fight bigger boxers to prove anything! I would like him to face Pacquiao and Juan Diaz, have them move up to light welterweight for the fights. I think he could face Diaz, because I dont think he would have a problem moving up. As for Pac, I doubt that. Pac is probably maxed out at SFW, the highest he could possibly go would be LW, but still that may be a stretch.

Hatton is a bit small even for a light welterweight, he's about lightweight size: LMAO. He weights about 180 lbs outside of the ring, what kind of crap talk is this?

As a Hatton fan I think he would struggle with Mosley, I don't think it's a fight he can win. If Mosley was a bit smaller he could do it, but Mosley is just a jump too far. I don't think it would be entirely one sided however, and it definitely wouldn't be a sure thing for Shane either. Cotto is a better fight for Hatton, and is pick'em. Mayweather would be a good fight as well, and you know something? If De La Hoya beats Mayweather I could see Hatton fighting Oscar and I could see him rising to the occasion and winning. Collazo was clinching a lot, and Tszyu was cheating a lot. Just throwing that out there.

mosleys fought at 147 or higher since 1999-2000, he could never make 140 again, he struggles at 147 after being at 154. so it bares repeating, why is hatton being matched against 147 guys by the haters when he's a 140 guy? i wasnt going to bother, but one last time, BECAUSE THATS WHAT REAL FIGHTERS DO! going up one division is no big deal for good fighters.

Ricky hasn't been at his best of late, but hopefully he will back for the castillo fight. Yar...his gameplan changed when he didnt have the hometown ref on the payroll. Hatton was never anything but a UK hype machine that holds and hits and gets away with it cuz of hometown refs. See what happened when the ref was breaking him and Collazo up right? yeah your right, thats why he must have "ducked" witter so long. whats judah and floyd got to do with this thread anyway, mosleys best wins have been at 147 and he's been as high as 154. i'll say again, why is hatton being matched against 147 guys when he's obviously just a 140 guy? let me say it again. mosley, mayweather, judah all are 140 guys but are stll able to fight and beat top fighters in the division. its not rare that fighters go against bigger and stronger guys, thats what real fighters do! thats something that hatton is not.

collazo is a bigger stronger fighter, i'll repeat again hatton is not a 147 guy!!! so! mosley, mayweather, judah all are not genuine welters! fact is hatton is just overated and cannot cope with a good slick boxer.
