So many of these PBC fight have been a snooze fest. I can honestly say I'm more than a casual boxing fan but not an expert or anything. I get pretty busy and can't watch them all, and I'm not sure Id ever seen Mares or Santa Cruz fight. Having said that, what I saw on Saturday night was two guys more interested in volume punching, rather than landing anything meaningful, and two guys that wanted to steal rounds at the end. Wouldn't a better match be between a power puncher and a volume puncher (Paul Williams / Margarito) or a boxer vs a volume puncher?

HBO is second to none, Showtime is decent when they are actually showing boxing, but stupid **** like Teddy mentioning the LSC fist shake EVERY DAMN ROUND was stupid and annoying, it's part of why I'm not a big fan of ESPN and PBC.

Where they discuss going on the count of three. Is it: One, two, then go on three Or One, two, three, then go. It's supposed to be eight, nine, ten, and if the guy isn't up, YOUR OUT! Benjy thinks it's eight, nine, tenyourout.

They always say dumb ****. Saying San Antonio has become a good place for boxing events in the past year? WTF? It may be a bit of a niche but San Antonio has always been a great place for boxing because of the large Hispanic population. Has it gotten busier over the past year, yeah, but that doesn't mean this hasn't always been a great place for boxing.

I really thought when Roy Jones Jr came back that they'd try to slowly phase out Emanuel Steward in favor of Roy Jones Jr, sort of like Max Kellerman/Harold Lederman. Don't get me wrong, Steward isn't bad, I just think Roy Jones Jr is better. Thoughts?

I'll explain it again for the morons. A low blow is any punch that lands below the belly button on a fighter. The punch does not have to land on the testicals to be considered a low blow. How does one determine where a low blow is then when you can't see either fighters belly button in virtually every fight? The referee determines before every fight where the bellybutton is on each fighter in relation to his trunks, and then determines where a punch must land in order to be considered a low blow. In this fight the referee determined that anything landing on the trunks would be a low blow. Sometimes if the trunks are worn higher the referee will determine that punches below the belt line will be considered low. The referee said before the fight anything below the top of the trunks would be low. Khan's punch started below the belt line and continued up, landing square on the belt line, which is a low blow. Plain and simple no question, no debate, period Zab should have been given five minutes. Would he have won, no. Was he really hurt, probably not. It was a low blow either way. Just for the record, according to that definition, Zab also landed a low blow, and each fighter technically probably landed more than one on each other.

Roy Jones said Maidana was landing that overhand right and would eventually lower it and catch Kanh right on the button and sure enough he did. Kahn did a great job of making it through the round, just mentioning it because Roy Jones called it perfectly. HBO should have never parted ways with him in the first place, he doesn't need to go to any fighter meetings or any of that ****, he knows what's going on in the ring and that's what counts. Who cares if the guy has twin daughters, or any of that other BS.

You don't hear about it often in boxing, but it's a common term or idea in basketball. I guess mostly because they play so many games, it doesn't happen as often in boxing or say football, but in basketball it's when a good team plays a bad team and for whatever reason plays at the bad teams level. Now I'm not saying Pascal is a poor fighter, just that I had the feeling the entire night that Dawson could have easily beaten him if he'd only try, and when he finally did start trying near the end he was making Pascal look bad, he was even on the verge of a 10-8 round near the end, or a knockout. What really annoyed me is that ESPN now has Pascal ranked above Dawson. Now I'm anything but a Dawson fan but that wasn't a clear enough victory in my mind to put him ahead of Dawson, at best it's 1A and 1B.

First, how on earth as a trainer are you going to get your guy down in weight when you're a fat **** two chinned mother ****er yourself? Second: How was Chris not totally prepared for the fact that Adamek would run the entire fight? You shouldn't get frustrated when a guy does exactly what we all knew he would do. Third: Why didn't Chris land more body shots? You have to have a game plan to slow a guy down and it has to involve body shots. Also, as Big George Foreman used to say, when you're big be big, fight big, touch him anywhere you can, push him, move him, impose your size, Chris did a terrible job of doing that. Having said that, if Chris hadn't hurt his hand he might have won this fight.

Boring fighter that is only willing to do just enough to win rounds. I'd rather watch one Glenn Johnson V Glen Johnson fight rather than 100 Chad Dawson V anyone else fights.
