Cintron fights at 147, Liddell fights at 205lbs  great matchup!
Nice try trying to pretend that Silva weighs 190lbs, just to try and make yourself look like you know more. He gained weight overnight too, and a heavyweight is a heavyweight, Im not going to say that Butterbean has a huge weight 'advantage' over other fighters just because hes fat as hell. same with Hunt. and you avoided that other part...is that weight advantage really an advantage when Hunt was on his back? that black belt had Hunt in full mount for long periods of time and still didnt submit him.
Mark Hunt was not even close...well lets see, the crowd ooohhed and ahhhed, Hunt had Fedors arm in the correct position, Hunt had Fedor in half-guard, his shoulder was visibly being strained, and the commentary was saying about how this might be it...oh yea, he wasnt in any trouble at all, hahaha.
Kicking leaves you way more open than punching, it takes more time and uses more momentum, so the person is more off balance. Kicking is definately useful, but its not as simple as 'more is better', there are huge disadvantages to
it.
The point with Rampage went completely over your head apparently. The point was with him, was that you DONT need a solid wrestling backround to have takedown defence. He just mostly uses athletic ability...but you still dont think O'Neil Bell could learn takedown defence, even with all his wrestling experience?? oook...
any master of a single martial art can be world class in mma, if they can keep it in their area of expertise...the boxers would not beat everyone, theyd run into a bad style matchup probebly as they moved up in class...but they could beat the top guys for sure, if they were matched against the right fighters. All top mma fighters lose too(other than Fedor), so its not exactly a big deal, is it?
Silva fight in different weight but fact is he fought a fighter about 90lbs higher than him. Weight advantage has to be taken in consideration, if you think not why would you think they make weight class in boxing?
Like I said, kicking and punching each have their own advantage. It depends on situation and oponnent, why are you still arguing about this?
Rampage went over my head? I do not think so. Altho Rampage is not considered top notch wrestler his wrestling level is high enough to be used during a fight. I haven't said anything about O'neil, did I? Bring him in MMA.
If you think mastering 1 martial arts can make you a world class in MMA. I beg you to differ of this ignorant thought. In early MMA days, you could be top dog with 1 martial art. These days you have to be well rounded. Post this in MMA forum and you might be considered to be either an ignorant or a troll.
