Did lara ever negotiate terms with haymon, and did haymon ever send Loeffler a contract to
Pair Lara and GGG .
This would be incredibly difficult, as Lara is a PBC fighter, and GGG is exclusive on HBO.
Ok. I thought I may have missed something.
I see certain posters throwimg Laras name out there as if a real contract was offered.
There was never any real contract .
Lara has mentioned his name on social media, but there cannot be a contract because of the two networks, they would have to work together and traditionally they don't if it's not for a LOT of money.
Actually this forum has been that way for a long, long time. It's an almost impossible task to ban all the crap and not lose traffic, bottom line. I gave up on it almost 2 years ago.
Saul Alvarez is making 154lbs and, with the final press obligations underway, Alvarez is looking like he's making the weight rather comfortably still, at al of 26 years old.
h
I wouldn't say comfortably, from what I understand it is incredibly difficult for him to get down but he has found a way to do it. I don't think it will be easy at all for him to drop that extra pound today.
Devil's advocate, who else has knocked out pretty much every single person they've put in front of him and is not named Deontay Wilder or Wlad Klitschko?
At least Golden Boy made an offer and wasn't ordered by a mandatory and pressured into a purse bid because the K2 clowns never agreed to original negotiations.
Why does Kellerman even care to talk about this after Golovkin responded clearly to Max that he wants to focus on the WBO strap and "160." Therefore, he's not interested in Alvarez NOW, hence 2017.
The truth is K2 and Abel don't want Alvarez in 2016.
Are people blind to notice this? lol
Kind of how boxing works. You win the belt you fight your mandatory that should have fought for the belt almost 2 years before that.
Do you really think if GGG said he wanted him right now that Golden Boy would sign? Come on man.
Of course it was for a year from now. They want to make sure:
1) GGG gets older.
2) GGG might lose.
3) GGG might get hurt.
Even that, Canelo might lose too. It's almost a guarantee this fight won't happen.
Are you kidding me? Martinez had major injuries for the entire fight and still dominated Chavez. When hurt, Martinez showed the ability to recover and came back with power punches while hurt.
Ridiculous.
Chavez is a Cruiserweight fighting at middleweight. Nuff said.
Chavez Jr. isn't the best in boxing but there's one thing for sure, get in the ring at 150'ish pounds and let Chavez come in at 180+ and hit you to the body. You won't forget what that feels like. If you watch him fight when he's in the proper shape he acutally is a decent boxer and has a really good jab.
Too big.
Edit- Just read Floyd is willing to move up past 154.
Mayweather and Pacquiao Official Discussion Thread
Any and all Mayweather/Pacquiao discussion should be held here. Any new threads created besides the official news threads will be merged into this thread and/or deleted if they are spam.
Please do not create new threads to discuss-
1) This fight will never happen.
2) It's Pac's fault.
3) It's Mayweather's fault.
4) Etc.
5) PEDS
This will be strictly enforced. This is in an effort to clean up NSB of the 10-20 threads a day about this subject. Further, this thread should not turn into a flame war as those posts will be dealt with and deleted.
Thanks!
(Edit, I'm still working on the merging functions. Bear with me while I fine tune it.)
I wanna knock you out so bad right now. One jab to your worthless forehead and you would fall flat while calling me daddy--o on your way down punk.
In this case IT DOES you buttface freak. Team Martinez says it is a weight they can make, end of! I won you fired peasant.
Bombs. This is unacceptable behavior, I'm not going to let you sit here and go off on a respected member with completely unprovoked insults.
Chill out.
If you have an issue with someone take it to the lounge or thunderdome.
whoaa....
too much speed, jab, and power for all these dudes.
that left hook would murk anybody up there right now.
maybe not floyd but tell me another dude not getting KO'd.
you can leave up the millionth floyd-ortiz thread though
Prime oscar lost to Shane Mosley, or was he not in his prime then? (Genuine question.)
Floyd pitches a shutout vs. JMM, Ortiz, and Mosley (-1).
Pac pitches a shutout vs. Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley.
And Steroidgio has a competitive fight vs. a Goat Farmer.
I told you he was a bum.
Not a Sergio fan, but any boxing fan can see Sergio won almost every round of that fight.
It's hard to knock someone out early that doesn't want to be knocked out, just see the Pac/Clottey fight for an example.
a prime mosley is very different from current mosley though, so I'm not sure why you mention that?
I just felt the OP was saying Oscar was unbeatable in his prime, when in fact he did lose, that's all.
Wow you have no heart boy. Believe in yourself.. Disgusting .
What childish names boy?? I don't cross the line, check yourself. Okay?
Actually Kenny is right. I already warned you once about this in a different thread. This was your last warning.
