first post
Being that the source is twitter, I'm just going to continue to go through my days as though both fighters actually want to fight each other. It helps me sleep at night. The mere thought of this fight falling through induces migraines.
Seriously though, this fight needs to happen. Personally, this is my second most anticipated fight behind the "unicorn"(May vs. Pac). Hell, I'd even pay for this fight. Glad I don't have to though.
Background Info on me (Pretty much useless info)
Hello, my name is Chris and I love boxing. Although, this is my first post, I've been reading these forums for years. Previously, I have intended to post an opinion or a comment but I would usually agree with another poster and change my mind. This site has taught me that there is so much more to boxing than I thought and I am happy to finally be part of the conversation.
I got into boxing by accident when I was in the 4th or 5th grade. I was flipping channels scanning for a my cartoons (I was a Fox Kid. Xmen etc) when I stopped on a replay of Holyfield vs. Bowe 2. Let's just say I asked for boxing gloves for Christmas that year.
I also have amateur boxing experience. I won a fight night bout(smoker), then I fought in the TX Golden Gloves in 2008 @ 152lbs. I went 2-1. Lost in the final on points. So, I sport a 3-1 amateur record. I tried to mimic Juan Manuel Marquez. Of course, I looked nothing like him in the ring haha.
My favorite fighters include: (in no particular order)
Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Tito Trinidad, Roy Jones Jr., Shane Mosley, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, Sergio Martinez, Erislandy Lara, Rigo, Gamboa, JM Marquez.
AND...Floyd Mayweather Jr. I love to hate him. He provides boxing with a great villain and I anticipate his fights much like the Super Bowl.
I'm sure I'm missing a few people, anyway if you read this far then thanks, I appreciate it.
