#MAYHEM: Who has more to prove on fight night?

Definitely nobody on the undercard I lol'd when I read this. The bey fight will be competitive though.

Mayweather has to prove "he chose to fight that way". If he gets hit more than the last fight, his rep will be ruined. If he holds/clinches more than the last fight, his rep will also be ruined. His defense on the inside would be considered trash. If he doesn't want to let Maidana wear punchers gloves(boxing tradition) his rep as an TBE is ruined.

Mayweather. A C grade fighter like maidana shouldn't have won as many rounds as he did. If Floyd can't shut out maidana (11-1 or 12-0) then it proves that he is a highly overrated fighter and wlad should replace him as #1 p4p. Not sure if serious about Wlad...

this is one of those very rare times i can agree with you... floyd by giving the rematch somehow feels he needs to dispose of maidana in a more convincing way...really dominate maidana...like the way he dominated jmm at the least I think it's a tall order for Floyd to dominate Maidana like he did JMM. I just don't see that happening, that would be incredible.

Mayweather, I fully expect him to stay out of the pocket until the late rounds, once he's frustrated Maidana. I gotta feeling Chino is gonna do something stupid in this fight. He had the perfect game plan vs Floyd in the first fight but came up short, no way he gets away with that again.

The funny thing is that I don't even like Mayweather because I despise his (media) personallity, but here on this forum sometimes I have to defend him because so many biased, sour grape pac tards or just simply Mayweather haters here.

Floyd didn't deserve to win that fight and Floyd has always looked **** against guys who come in strong with that relentless pace just throwing down basically. I think it was an injustice that Maidana never got the nod in May, he clearly deserved it more than Floyd but judges will always aim to protect one of the biggest assets to boxing. Maidana will need to beat this guy into a retard or kill the POS to win. The majority of the media and the viewers saw it as a tight Mayweather win, not just the judges. Maybe you should look after things a little more before you state things like what you said confidently.

Mayweather already proved that he is a world calss fighter, he is widely recognized as #1 P4P and he clearly won the first fight, it was tight but clean, 115-113 on "my scorecard". I really like Maidana and I don't really like May, but I respect May's resume and I think that too that he is the #1 P4P right now. He gave a rematch to Maidana, because he hasn't got any better option now. Maidana hasn't got to prove a lot, he fought well (not so fair but well) on the first fight, what he needs to prove that he really deserved this rematch and heis really that uncomfortable to May like we saw on their first fight.

The only reason why I picked Mayweather is because he can prove that he chose to fight in the pocket against Chino. May said the same thing about Cotto, that he chose to bang it out with Cotto rather than rack up points from the outside. We never got confirmation in a rematch. However, the rematch against Chino gives May the opportunity to prove it. Why bang it out with Chino if you can box him from the outside and rack up a comfortable lead? OR Was it that Chino did not give Mayweather a choice? So far, I take Mayweather's word. There's really nothing else you can do. It's hard to refute Mayweather with that record.

If you think Maidana would lose a rematch then you would also have to believe he hasn't improved under Garcia.
